"All clothing has a belt",waist ornaments are a representative part of China's traditional costume accessories.The origin of waist ornaments can be traced back to the era of animal skin clothing,with a long historical lineage and deep cultural values,and is closely related to the ancient Chinese costume civilization.Waist is one of the important decorative parts of the human body,as the core point of the body's structural strength support,with the coordination between the coherent torso and various parts,playing a role in the transition of the upper and lower body proportion of the dividing line.The waist knot is in the visual center of the overall costume,with intuitive and eye-catching structural features,which can highlight the importance of the waist area as a decorative accessory.The Qing dynasty clothing and costume system has a clear division of rank and status,according to the identity of different people,situations and occasions to wear different styles of waist ornaments,is a symbol to distinguish the normalization of rank and authority.The waist ornaments of men in the Qing court,in the form of national and cultural,material and economic,artistic and spiritual fusion,carried the traditional values of Chinese religion and humanistic beliefs,rituals,class ideology,etc.,and conveyed emotional attachment while being a symbol of identity and status.Therefore,the waist ornament has become a costume accessory with both practical value and decorative art features in a certain sense.This topic firstly,through researching and combing the ancient books and heirlooms related to men's waist ornaments in the Qing dynasty court,summarizing the current status of research on traditional waist ornaments by experts and scholars at home and abroad,sorting out the historical evolution and development process of waist ornaments in the Qing dynasty,defining the concept of waist ornaments in the Qing dynasty,clarifying the historical development of waist ornaments in the three periods from the Neolithic to the North and South Dynasties,from the Sui and Tang dynasties to the Song and Yuan dynasties,and the Ming and Qing dynasties,examining and exploring the cultural heritage value of men's waist ornaments in the Qing dynasty court.The study system of men's waist ornaments in the Qing dynasty palace is summarized and constructed.Secondly,based on the study of the decorative arts of men's waist ornaments in the Qing dynasty,including form and function,fabric and material,color and ornamentation,the symbolic artistic characteristics of men's waist ornaments in the Qing dynasty are explained from point to point,and the transformation process from functional utility to aesthetic decoration is analyzed,the aesthetic characteristics and cultural connotation of men's waist ornaments in the Qing dynasty are explored,and the influencing factors of the aesthetic evolution are explored from four aspects: social,economic,political and cultural.It also explores the factors influencing the aesthetic evolution from four aspects: social,economic,political and cultural,reveals the cultural implication and aesthetic value,and provides a theoretical basis for the innovative design of men's waist ornaments in the Qing dynasty court in different styles of contemporary dress.Finally,the artistic characteristics and cultural connotations of the Qing dynasty men's waist ornaments are synthesized,and the feasibility and basic application principles of the Qing dynasty waist ornaments in modern dress design are discussed,based on the principles of aesthetics,fashion and culture,the aesthetic characteristics,symbolic meanings and cultural connotations are refined on the basis of the decorative art of Qing dynasty men's waist ornaments.Based on the principles of aesthetics,fashion and culture,the design is reconstructed on the basis of the decorative art of men's waist ornaments in the Qing dynasty palace,and the decorative elements are combined and recreated at different levels and integrated into the innovative design of different styles of modern clothing,so as to inherit and carry forward the excellent traditional culture of China and develop new ideas for the innovative application of traditional Chinese clothing and accessories.
