Tire wear resistance is the most important factor determining tire durability.Nowadays,more than 98% of automobile tires are replaced or scrapped because of polishing.Therefore,wear has become the most concerned topic in tire design and production technology.At present,the wear resistance of tires is far from the ideal level.The wear resistance of the tread part is generally only 1/3?1/5 of the service life of the tire body,which is in an extremely uncoordinated hysteresis state.Therefore,improving the wear resistance of tread rubber is an urgent problem to be solved by tire factories,and it is also a manifestation of their technical level and competitiveness.Studying the factors affecting the wear resistance of tread formulations is of vital importance to improving the wear resistance of tread rubber.First,the influence of the type of raw rubber on the wear resistance of tread rubber is studied.Among them,the impact of natural rubber,styrene butadiene rubber and butadiene rubber and their different types on the wear resistance of tread rubber is mainly studied.Research results show that the tread with butadiene rubber has the best wear resistance,followed by the tread with styrene butadiene rubber and natural rubber.Secondly,the influence of fillers on the wear resistance of the tread is studied.Mainly study the influence of different filler varieties on the wear performance of tread rubber.The research results show that the key indicators of carbon black that affect wear are STSA,color strength,iodine absorption value,and DBP oil absorption value.The wear-resistant formula design and the development of new carbon black can be controlled mainly.Finally,the influence of mixing process and vulcanization process on wear performance is studied.The research results show that,compared with the ordinary segmented mixing process,the rubber abrasion of the tandem mixing process is not much different,but the rubber produced by the tandem mixing process has lower heat generation and better aging resistance.Natural rubber formula tread rubber,under the conditions of vulcanization temperature of 140? and vulcanization degree of 100%?150%,the overall performance of the rubber compound is the best.The higher the vulcanization temperature and degree of vulcanization,the worse the rubber abrasion.Various influencing factors are comprehensively considered during the formulation design,and a wear-resistant formulation with excellent comprehensive performance can be designed.
