Petro China's Yunnan refined oil pipeline and oil depot project along the line are the supporting projects of China-Myanmar Oil and Gas Pipeline Project and Kunming Refinery Project,a national key project.Construction started in May 2012 and was basically completed by the end of 2014.Due to the characteristics of abundant water systems along the pipeline,more mountainous areas,and complicated ecological environment,the pipeline accident will cause serious environmental damage.Therefore,it is significant to carry out risk assessment of Yunnan refined oil pipeline project.Firstly,the typical accident cases of long-distance oil pipelines and oil depots were analyzed in this article,and the failure causes of pipelines and oil depots were concluded such as five aspects: engineering quality,third-party damage,engineering equipment corrosion,natural disasters,safety protective measures.By comparing the advanced environmental risk assessment methods,combined with the characteristics of environmental accidents in China's pipelines and oil depots,the table and questionnaire identification methods was used to identify environmental risks,the Kent index method was adopted to carry out risk assessment and classification of accident occurrence probability,environmental sensitivity,leakage volume and hazardous consequences,and a risk classification method and environmental risk assessment system were established.Through on-site investigation of Yunnan refined oil pipelines and oil depots along the route,basic process parameters were obtained,and the characteristics of environmentally sensitive areas along the route were counted.At the same time,surface water,groundwater and atmosphere data were monitored in each environmentally sensitive area to identify environmental accident risks.The environmental risk assessment system for long-distance oil pipelines and oil depots established in this paper was used to evaluate environmentally sensitive areas such as river crossings,water source protection areas,and nature protection areas involved in Petro China's Yunnan refined oil pipeline and oil depot project.The evaluation result show that the environmental risk level of Tuanshan Reservoir,Yangbi River,Lancang River and Baoshan Bonan Ancient Road Scenic Spot was higher.
