The geomagnetic disturbance caused by the solar wind causes the buried pipeline network to generate pipe-soil potential(PSP)and geomagnetic induced current(GIC).With the intensive construction of pipelines,space weather has infringed upon the pipeline network and threatened the safe operation of pipeline systems increasingly.Currently,satellites have accumulated a large amount of solar wind data,and many scientists at home and abroad use these data to predict geomagnetic storms.Because the solar wind has the properties of magnetic fluid,magnetohydrodynamics has laid a theoretical foundation for the prediction and early warning of PSP and GIC.Therefore,we can trace the source and predict the PSP and GIC of pipeline network from the solar activity that caused the geomagnetic change.Based on the PSP and GIC predictions of pipeline network,the main research contents and results are as follows:(1)The spatial large-scale current system is studied,including magnetospheric current system,ionospheric current system and coupled current system.The formula of the contribution of the closed current system composed of field-aligned current ?,partial ring current and ionospheric current to the geomagnetic disturbance is derived.(2)Based on the solar wind data,combined with the MHD model,the ionospheric equivalent current system is calculated according to the block adaptive tree solarwind roe upwind scheme with Rice convection model numerical simulation method,and then the current system is used to obtain the geomagnetic disturbance.According to the three-dimensional earth conductivity model and the pipeline network model,the PSP and GIC are gained.For the Horgos-Jinghe section pipeline in Xinjiang,using the simulation of the interplanetary solar wind parameters on October 25,2016,and comparing with the actual measured values of the field devices,it can be concluded that the forecasting method has high accuracy for the PSP prediction of pipeline,and it is feasible in the prediction and early warning of disaster events in pipeline network.The forecast software is designed based on the forecast process.(3)According to the phenomenon of vortex in the northeast region,the sine wave source current is used to analyze the formation process,formation mechanism and its influence on pipelines.Using the effect of the geomagnetic storm data on August 24,2005,the existence and generation of vortex current were verified,and the GIC and PSP abnormalities of the pipeline due to the vortex current were verified.In addition,a verification scheme is proposed for a pipeline in the area.The research results of this paper have changed the method of predicting PSP and GIC based on historical data through statistical methods or neural networks.The method of forecasting using the MHD model through solar wind data is proposed,and the PSP in Xinjiang is simulated and forecasted to verify the feasibility of the entire forecast method.The software for predicting PSP and GIC of pipeline networks based on solar wind data is designed.The study of the vortex current in the northeast region provides a theoretical basis for the prevention and forecasting of PSP and GIC anomalies in pipelines in this region.
