With the rapid diversified development of society,a large number of technological products flood into the market.Demand for electricity is increasing around the world.The energy industry is in urgent need of integration with social development.At present,China's thermal power generation accounts for about 71%,still the main force.The Fourteenth Five-Year Plan points out that China's renewable energy has entered a high quality development stage.However,China's energy development process has the following status quo.The high carbon emission,environmental pollution and lack of new thermal power technology innovation caused by the dominant position of coal.Therefore,for the coal-fired power generation enterprises labeled with "heavy pollution",their sustainable development research evaluation is not only of great significance to the improvement of their own economic benefits.At the same time,it is also required to assume more ecological protection and social responsibility.Aiming at the coal-fired power generation enterprises put forward high requirements.It needs to shoulder more social responsibilities on the premise of high-quality electricity consumption for the whole society.To provide the backbone of China's energy transformation.Therefore,this paper takes the sustainable development ability of coal-fired power generation enterprises as the research object.First of all,the development status of China's coal-fired power generation industry.Combined with the relevant research progress of domestic and foreign scholars,the connotation of the research object in this paper is defined.Then,the influencing factors are summarized.Combined with the theory of ESG(Environment Social and Governance)and the characteristics of the evaluation objects in this paper,the evaluation index system of environmental resources,Social responsibility and corporate management is constructed.Then,this paper combines the Analytic Hierarchy Process(AHP)and Entropy Method(EM)with the variance ratio coefficient Method to determine the index weight.The combined weight value of sustainable development ability evaluation of coal-fired power generation enterprises is obtained.In view of the selection of evaluation methods,this paper applies machine learning to evaluation.A sustainable development capability evaluation model of coal-fired power enterprises based on Gaussian Process Regression(GPR)is established.Finally,in the empirical analysis stage of this paper,five coal-fired power generation enterprises in China are selected to carry out the empirical analysis.The GPR model was compared with BP neural network and Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution(TOPSIS).The results showed that the sustainable development ability of the five enterprises increased year by year during the six years,but the growth rate was slow.At the same time,compared with the other two comparison models,the GPR model has higher accuracy and generalization ability.The GPR model also provides an interval evaluation range for each evaluation value.This provides more references for the decision makers to make future decisions.Finally,the sensitivity analysis is carried out through the index weight change of three subsystems.The results show that the evaluation sensitivity of sustainable development capability of coal-fired power generation enterprises is low.It is more sensitive to human resource index,economic index and technological innovation index.According to the evaluation results of this paper,five countermeasures and suggestions are put forward.
