Fluorinated acrylate emulsions use water as the dispersion medium and have many advantages,such as zero VOC(volatile organic compound)emissions,low production costs,and high production safety.Because fluoropolymers have low surface energy,they have good hydrophobic and oleophobic effects when applied to fabric finishing agents.However,due to the bioaccumulation and toxicity of long-chain fluoropolymers,the European Union has also issued relevant laws and regulations to restrict its use Long-chain fluoropolymer.In summary,this article first synthesizes short carbon chain fluorine-containing acrylate emulsion by pre-emulsified semi-continuous seed emulsion polymerization,and discusses the influence of various factors on the polymer.By screening different co-solvents and initiators,a fluorine-containing emulsion with the lowest amount of slag,the best stability,and the best appearance transparency is prepared.The storage stability of the emulsion reaches more than three months,and it has passed other stability tests;When the ratio of hard monomer A to soft monomer C is 1:3,the hydrophobic performance of the fabric is the best.In terms of fabric finishing conditions,a smooth film was observed on the fabric surface through SEM.The EDS test results showed that as the baking time increases,the more fluorine atoms on the surface,the larger the static oil-water contact angle and the smaller the rolling angle;Next,in order to improve the effect of the shower test,this paper selects different crosslinkers to crosslink and modify the fluorine-containing emulsion,and characterize its structure through infrared spectroscopy;analyze the crosslinking and curing mechanism of various crosslinkers,and Compare the shower effect of each cross-linked modified emulsion after treating the fabric.The results show that N-methylol acrylamide is used as a cross-linking agent,and the obtained fluorine-containing emulsion has a higher degree of cross-linking,lower water absorption,best thermal stability,and best hydrophobic effect.The emulsion concentration is diluted to 0.07%and then leached.Sprinkle test can reach 100 points.Finally,in order to change the thermal cross-linking method and explore the new curing method,a two-step method was used to synthesize a polymerizable UV lightcurable monomer,and its structure was characterized by infrared and nuclear magnetism;and then self-made monomers and other acrylates Copolymerization of similar monomers to obtain UV-curable fluorine-containing acrylate emulsion.After UV curing,the degree of cross-linking increases,and the water absorption rate decreases.When applied to fabrics,the penetration resistance of the fabrics is improved.
