Polymer oil absorbent resin is a kind of functional polymer material with excellent oil absorption performance,which is widely used in the treatment of oil leakage and oil-bearing wastewater.In this paper,butyl methacrylate(BMA),iso-octyl methacrylate(EHMA)and lauryl methacrylate(LMA)were used as functional monomers to prepare oil-absorbing resins.And the composite resin was prepared with modified chitosan and its structure and oil-absorbing properties were tested and analyzed.The main studies are as follows.P(EHMA-BMA)resin was prepared by suspension polymerization with EHMA and BMA as functional monomers.The molecular structure and microstructure of P(EHMA-BMA)resin were investigated by FTIR and SEM.The optimum suspension polymerization conditions were determined by studying the effects of polyvinyl alcohol(PVA)dispersant dosage,reaction temperature and water-oil ratio.P(EHMA-BMA)resin with excellent properties was prepared by optimizing the monomer ratio,initiator AIBN and crosslinking agent MBA.The results showed that the resin prepared by suspension polymerization was the best when the water-oil ratio was 50:1,dispersant was 11.00×10-3mol%and the temperature was 75?.When the molar ratio of monomer(EHMA:BMA)was 2:1,AIBN was 1.6mol%and MBA was 1.5mol%,P(EHMA-BMA)resin had the best oil absorption effect on carbon tetrachloride,toluene and kerosene.And the oil absorption ratios was 4.05g/g,2.93g/g and 1.95g/g,respectively.The oil retention rate of the resin was 80%.After 8times of recycling,the oil absorption rate of the resin reduced to 1.91%.And it had a good regeneration ability.P(LMA-BMA-ST)resin was prepared by using LMA and BMA as functional monomers,styrene(St)as rigid monomer,benzoyl peroxide(BPO)as initiator,divinylbenzene(DVB)as crosslinking agent,and ethyl acetate(EAC)as pore-forming agent.Its structure was characterized by FTIR and its morphology was observed by SEM.The optimal suspension polymerization conditions were determined by optimizing the dosage of dispersant(PVA)and water-oil ratio.And the effects of the dosage of monomer ratio(LMA:BMA),BPO,DVB,St and EAC on the oil absorption ratio of the resin were investigated.The experimental results showed that:when the mole ratio of monomer was 2:4,BPO was 0.8mol%,DVB was 0.8mol%,St was 100mol%and EAC was 120mol%,P(LMA-BMA-St)had the best oil absorption effect on carbon tetrachloride,toluene,kerosene,gasoline and diesel oil.The oil absorption ratios were 24.05g/g,13.61g/g,8.03g/g,3.06g/g and3.87g/g,respectively.Compared with P(EHMA-BMA)resin,the increase of oil absorption ratio of carbon tetrachloride was 486%,which was the most obvious.And the oil retention ratio remained above 90%.After 10 times reuses,the oil absorption ratio of resin decreased only 2.67%and the resin mass lost 2.85%,indicating that resin had a good regeneration performance and the adsorption behavior conformed to the pseudo-second-order adsorption kinetics model.Chitosan was hydrophobic modified by triethoxyvinylsilane(A151)and the modified chitosan/P(LMA-BMA-St)composite resin was prepared by composite with the resin.The optimum preparation conditions were selected by single factor.When adding 0.8×10-4mol%modified chitosan,1.12mol%BPO,0.8mol%DVB,100mol%enhanced St,130mol%EAC,the modified chitosan/P(LMA-BMA-ST)composite resin had the best oil absorption effect on carbon tetrachloride,toluene,kerosene,gasoline and diesel.And the oil absorption ratios were 47.35g/g,21.57g/g,15.57g/g,7.25g/g and 9.28g/g.Compared with P(EHMA-BMA)resin,the oil absorption ratio increased by more than 55%,and compared with P(LMA-BMA-ST)resin,the oil absorption ratio is more than 500%.And the effect was obvious.The oil retention rate of the composite resin was above 90%,and the performance of reusability,acid resistance,alkali resistance and water resistance kept well,the composite resin had a very good practical application value.
