Phenols widely exist in various industrial wastewater.Phenol and its derivatives in water are highly toxic and pose a serious threat to the survival of human beings and other organisms.On the other hand,phenol is an important organic synthetic raw material in industrial production,which has been widely used in medical disinfection,drug synthesis,polymer materials and dyeing agents.The phenol market in China is also increasing year by year.There is an urgent need for innovative technology in the treatment of phenolic wastewater and its resource treatment technology.Traditional technologies such as chemical method,biochemical method and adsorption method have been unable to meet the increasingly stringent requirements of environmental protection due to their high energy consumption and high cost.With the continuous development of new separation technology,the treatment of phenol wastewater by liquid membrane technology has gradually attracted people’s attention.Liquid membrane technology effectively reduces the cost and improves the mass transfer efficiency,but its poor stability leads to its slow industrial application process.Based on the characteristics of existing liquid membrane treatment technology,this paper adopts(Hollow Fiber Renewal Liquid Membrane)HFRLM to treat phenol containing wastewater,inheriting the advantages of liquid membrane technology and solving the problem of unstable liquid membrane.On the one hand,it is expected to reduce environmental pollution,realize the harmless treatment of phenol containing wastewater and the comprehensive treatment of resources,which can promote the development of closed-circuit recycling system technology of Phenol Industrial Wastewater;on the other hand,it is conducive to the recovery and utilization of phenols,the concentration and enrichment of phenols,the reduction of follow-up recovery costs,and the improvement of economic benefits of enterprises.The effects of the kinds,initial concentration,pH and flow rate of the extractant on the treatment of phenol containing wastewater by HFRLM were investigated and the long-term stability experiment was carried out.The results show that HFRLM technology has good effect on treating phenol containing wastewater.For 1 g/L of phenol containing wastewater,the removal rate can reach 99%.The low concentration phenol containing wastewater can be treated by multi-stage treatment,and the residual concentration can be reduced to below 0.5 mg/L,which can meet the national discharge standard.The results of longterm stability test show that the stable operation time of HFRLM technology can reach more than 10 times of that of the supported liquid membrane technology,and the stability has been improved significantly.The enrichment experiment results show that the concentration of phenol can reach more than 60 times for phenol containing wastewater with initial concentration of 0.4 g/L,which shows a great enrichment effect.
