Research On Traveling Wave Fault Location For Distribution Networks

The development of fault traveling-waves location technology has obvious advantages in the field of fault diagnosis for distribution network,and the research of related technology and system is the focus.The paper puts forward a fault traveling-waves location system for distributed distribution network based on the technology of effective fault detection,for detection of the weak fault transient traveling-waves signal,identification of interference signal in distribution network and for fault location in multi branch topology structure.In this paper,the main factors of influencing the precision of fault traveling-waves location in distribution network have firstly been analysed in detail,including the initial traveling-waves wave head detection,high precision extraction of traveling-waves signal,signal interference elimination and fault traveling-waves location algorithm for distribution network,as the research focus of the paper.Then,the transient characteristics of generated fault traveling-waves,electromagnetic distribution network interference and fault traveling-waves location method for distribution network are analyzed.It is concluded that the weak traveling wave signal of the distribution network is weak and the interference signal is relatively obvious.Based on this,the extracting method of fault traveling-waves signal from the power distribution transformer core grounding is proposed,an active digital PCB sensor to improve the extraction precision of weak signal is designed,and a fault location method based on the time difference of traveling-waves modulus is deeply studied,so as to break through the difficult of signal detection and branch line fault location problem.Respectively,the feasibility and the validity of the argument are proved by two aspects of theory and simulation.Finally,based on these two technologies,a new type of fault traveling wave positioning device for distribution network is developed.And the field installation test is carried out,which verifies the feasibility of the traveling wave technology for distribution network.The traveling-waves fault location technology is applied to the distribution network to overcome the weak fault signal of distribution network,signal interference and the existence of pseudo fault.It can locate fault branch line through the optimal allocation of network of the devices,has obvious engineering significance.Also,it has great significance for the transformation of the distribution network plan in 13th Five-Year.
