Being one of the world’s busiest ports and world’s biggest transshipment hub and bunker supply hub,Port of Singapore attracts hundreds of thousands of ship calls annually.The Port of Singapore is mainly managed PSA International Pte.Ltd.It has become the premium choice of shipping lines to receive bunkers and supplies due to the strategic location and the superior service level.PSA Maritime Services Pte.Ltd.is the subsidiary company of PSA International Pte.Ltd.,the primary business is to provide Pilotage service and towage service to Singapore port.With the rapid growth of the world’s shipping industry,the strength of the company’s service level is affected by the constrains of the recourses and infrastructure of the Singapore port and company’s own resources limitations.This article discuses feasibilities of service level enhancement by improvement of company’s strategy and utilization of the advanced technology.Based on the analysis of the core business of the company,this article studies the advantages and disadvantages of the company’s service level,and further discusses the service improving strategy under the prevailing circumstances.This article makes studies on the customer’s need and satisfaction level,and analyses the reason of the decrease of the customer satisfaction level,also discusses how to improve through the enhancement of the hardware and software upgrading.A detailed study on company’s human recourse management is also made to better solve the manpower distribution issue.This article also makes a sound introduction and analysis of the utilization of the internet technology,and how does the internet technology provide supportive fundament to the company service level,as well as to Singapore port being the world leading maritime hub.Analyzing the application of the service level improvement strategy,this article separately analyzes the effect of improvement on the service level based on the study of customer satisfaction level,improvement of software and hardware,enhancement on human resource management and the utilization of internet technology.Through the outcome of the data analyzation and comparison,a conclusion of improvement on company’s entire service level is drawn.
