With the rapid development of China automotive industry,people are pursuing the new car fashion,meanwhile they are also more picky for car quality.Especially after the "car warranty policy" been released,the case that more and more consumers protect their rights and interests by safeguard legal rights is common occurrence.Under this situation,to analyze quality control in automotive industry have a profound meaning for how to develop our automotive industry in a stable pace for long time.This thesis firstly analyzed the current situation of Automotive industry and Automotive quality management.And made detailed description about company S where the case happened,the challenge which S company is facing and the current quality control situation.For quality control problem of company S,this thesis opened the project MAZUDA rear cross member as the case for discussion,and started the analysis from the over taget KPI such as customer PPM,internal PPM,rework rate and FTTQ rate.It was found that the root cause for product quality control problem was coming from big control problem during project development phase and mass production phase.For all these problem,the thesis described the related quality theory in automotive industry,which was effectively used in product quality control process.Then came out the countermeasure such as "quality gate" for product quality control in project phase and etc.,and 4M(man,machine,material,method and environment)management in mass production phase.In the end,after all these countermeasures been implemented,the product quality level has gone to a new high stage,all KPIs has great improvement,which has become the solid basis for the company stable growth for the future.
