Research On Financing Problems Of Small And Medium Sized Shipping Enterprises Along The Yangtze River

The main channel of the Yangtze River starts from Shuifu Port in Yunnan Province,covering 11 provinces(municipalities).At present,Yangtze River Shipping has played an important supporting role in the development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt and the national economic and social development,and it is also an important part of the country’s comprehensive three-dimensional transportation.With the continuous improvement of navigation conditions,infrastructure,security facilities,market system,institutional mechanism and capacity structure of the Yangtze River trunk channel,the water cargo volume on the Yangtze River trunk line has been steadily increasing.As the main body of the Yangtze River shipping market,small and medium-sized shipping companies transport goods or passengers from one area to another through various types of transport ships,forming an economic zone on the water route,and driving trade,industry,manufacturing and tourism along the line.Development of related industries.The small and medium-sized shipping companies on the Yangtze River trunk line have strengthened the economic and trade ties between the two regions and promoted regional economic development by completing the transportation of goods between the regions along the Yangtze River or between the Yangtze River region and the coast and even overseas.After the development of the "Twelfth Five-Year Plan" and "Thirteenth Five-Year Plan",most of the small and medium-sized shipping companies along the Yangtze River have been developed and expanded,and some enterprises have completed the transformation from traditional shipping to shipping logistics transportation.Entering the stage of high-quality development,the small and medium-sized shipping companies along the Yangtze River are still slightly lacking in scale,intensification and specialization.The current operation and later transformation and upgrading of the enterprise will still often face many difficulties in capital and technology.Among them,financing is the most important issue facing the development and growth of enterprises.Based on the field research data,this paper starts with the development and financing status of small and medium-sized shipping companies on the Yangtze River trunk line,summarizes and analyzes the problems and the crux of the financing process of small and medium-sized shipping companies on the Yangtze River trunk line.Combined with the principles of economics,the basic reasons are divided into micro and macro levels.Then,combined with the relevant theory of corporatefinancing decision-making,taking a shipping company in Chongqing on the Yangtze River as an example,a qualitative and quantitative analysis of financing method selection,costs and risks is conducted to determine the best financing mix.Finally,combined with the problems and causes in the financing process of the small and medium-sized shipping companies on the Yangtze River trunk line,the government,financial departments,organizations and enterprises themselves put forward relevant solutions.
