Switching power supply is widely used in all walks of life because of its high efficiency and small size.In this paper,a high efficiency,wide input and output range synchronous peak current mode boost DC-DC converter is designed for the fields of consumer electronics,automotive electronics and LED drive.This paper focuses on the system design and related circuit design of current mode boost converter.The traditional peak current mode boost modeling process is too tedious,and the calculation is large.In this paper,a simple modeling method is used,and the expression similar to the traditional model is obtained.In order to meet the characteristics of wide input and output range,this paper uses MATLAB software to design two types of compensation network,output capacitance and inductance and other parameters.Then,based on the 0.18 μ m BCD process,a specific module circuit is designed and verified by simulation,including: EA(error amplifier)circuit,PWM comparator circuit,slope compensation circuit and current detection circuit.In addition to the basic functions of the current mode boost converter,the current mode boost converter in this paper also includes soft start,DCM mode,maximum current limit,overvoltage detection,undervoltage detection and turn back current limit protection functions.Finally,the output voltage ripple,efficiency and other system parameters are simulated.From the simulation results,the highest efficiency is 98%,the average voltage ripple rate is 0.24%,the typical output voltage accuracy is 99%,the linear adjustment rate is 0.83%,and the load adjustment rate is 1.66%. |
