Research On Lean Production Application Of Production Process In C Plant

Lean production is based on customer value flow,looking for waste in the upstream and downstream supply chain and production process,improving workflow,reducing production costs,improving product quality and shortening delivery time.In order to meet to the changing needs of customers,quickly respond to market changes,so that enterprises can achieve the best operational results in all aspects.In the current economic environment,how to use lean production is the top priority of modern company.This thesis applies the lean production theory,through field investigation and quantitative and qualitative analysis of data,to improve the Changshu plant’s problems in the brake caliper production process.In the production process of brake calipers in Changshu plant,there are many problems such as insufficient capacity,high production cost,unstable quality,long delivery time,and unable to meet customer requirement.The reason is that the whole production process is full of a lot of waste: too much WIP,waiting waste,unnecessary handling,unnecessary action waste,inventory,too many defects.This project examines the whole production process of brake calipers from the perspective of lean production,in order to find out the fundamental problems,and then uses the Lean Theory and Lean Tools such as VSM,ECRS,SMED,Causality Analysis,5S,SMED to propose a comprehensive solution to the above problems.By changing the production scheduling period,reducing change over time,reducing the standard operating time,the production cost of brake calipers has been effectively reduced,the problem of capacity has been solved,the quality has been improved,and the production lead time has been reduced.The success of this project has laid a good foundation for promoting the improvement of other products in the factory and played an exemplary role.
