| Looking back at the rapid economic growth of major industrial countries around the world,it is not difficult to find that urbanization and industrialization in all regions have high energy consumption.Increasing the level of urbanization and industrialization with energy consumption will promote economic growth. At the same time, economic growth will also provide feedback for the advancement of urbanization and industrial scale, bringing changes in energy consumption levels in urban industrial areas.Although the production factors and development paths of different countries are different, energy consumption has made great contributions to economic growth in the process of urbanization and industrialization. However, due to the objective needs of regional economic development and the uneven structure of the structure, the cost of promoting the improvement of the industry structure is extremely high, which has brought tremendous resistance to regional industrial transformation.Promoting a green and efficient energy consumption structure is the inevitable choice for urban and industrial development. This article has studied the relationship between economic development and energy consumption in urbanization and industrial processes based on threshold research ideas, and design related measurement methods. In fact, this paper collects energy, economic and population data of major industrial countries around the world from 1980 to 2017,and analyzes the relationship between GDP and energy consumption under different urbanization and industrialization levels. It is concluded that the level of urbanization and industrialization has a threshold effect in the relationship between GDP and energy consumption.Different regions have different nonlinear relationships at different stages.Compared with coal, oil and natural gas have a better promotion effect on economic development in the process of industrial development in regional cities, but their use thresholds are higher. In the later stages of urbanization, the energy use efficiency is higher than in the earlier stage, while in the later stage of industrialization, the energy use efficiency is lower than in the earlier stage.Taken together, the promotion effect of energy consumption on economic development in the process of urbanization and industrialization will increase first and then decrease. Many countries are still in the early stages of urbanization and industrialization, and have not yet reached a new stage of urban industrialization.Energy consumption policies need to be tailored to the specific circumstances of each country. |
