In recent years,with the revival of Buddhism in China and the growth of the number of believers,related tourism activities have also shown a prosperous trend,and the construction of Buddhist colleges has gradually emerged in various places to cultivate Buddhist talents and promote the spread of Buddhist culture.The connection between the development and extension of the Buddhist academy as a traditional monastery was an important consideration in the design.Therefore,this paper takes traditional monasteries and modern Buddhist colleges as research objects,explores the application techniques in design from the spatial layout level,and then explores the connotation of Buddhist culture,explores the expression of traditional architectural modernization,and analyzes the design and development trend of Buddhist college architecture in the future.This paper analyzes and studies the application of traditional monastic spatial layout patterns in the design of modern Buddhist colleges,and takes the lower courtyard of Xiamen Minnan Buddhist College as a case study to analyze and demonstrate.Firstly,this paper sorts out the development background of Buddhist culture and monastic space,and understands the development status of contemporary monastic space and Buddhist college.Then,the development process,type division,space layout and space creation techniques of Chinese Buddhist temple architecture in China were summarized and summarized.Then,through field research,representative traditional Buddhist temples and modern Buddhist colleges were analyzed and summarized.Then,based on the previous research,the application embodiment and design strategy of the traditional temple spatial layout mode in modern Buddhist colleges are summarized.Finally,based on the design project of the Lower Institute of Minnan Buddhist College in which the author participated,the preliminary research was verified in practice,relevant conclusions were drawn,and the article was summarized.This paper summarizes the application and embodiment of traditional temple space layout mode in the design of modern Buddhist colleges,and analyzes and summarizes from four aspects: spatial sequence and functional division,organizational structure and pattern form,ritual space and hierarchical order,teaching space and new and old inheritance,garden space and Zen artistic conception.At the same time,combined with the construction project of the lower courtyard of Xiamen Minnan Buddhist College,the theory and practice are applied,so that the lower courtyard of Minnan Buddhist College has become a modern Buddhist college with distinctive traditional culture and regional characteristics with a combination of traditional and modern design techniques.In conclusion,the findings of this study are expected to serve as a valuable source of guidance and inspiration for the establishment of Buddhist institutions of higher education in the future.as well as offer ideas and inspiration for the modern expression of traditional architecture in the future. |
