| In recent years, people are gradually tired of the cement forest and begin to miss the tranquility and peace of the traditional buildings. As a result, the cultural tourism of the traditional buildings flourishes, which also promotes the renewal and development of the traditional streets. The traditional street is an important residential and commercial building in Southwest Hubei, and also an important node and historical witness of foreign exchange.Under the guidance of tourism policy,Southwest Hubei also began to vigorously develop the traditional streets. However, most of the existing renewal and development cases only reconstruct a form of commercial street after the removal of the original streets and the restoration on the surface, and did not explore the environmental adaptation mechanism formed by the long-term response to environmental factors after the form and characteristics of the traditional streets. This paper studies the environmental adaptation mechanism of traditional streets in Southwest Hubei Province, and takes the Hongtu street in Enshi as an example to explore the adaptation mechanism of traditional streets in the process of development. In addition, the paper analyzes and evaluates the mechanism of environmental adaptation, and then puts forward the corresponding protection and development principles and strategies. The paper is divided into three parts. The first part: first of all,we choose the Hongtu street as the research object of the traditional street in Southwest Hubei.Secondly, based on the adaptation of environmental factors, from 1)Street location and layout,2)street form and layout,3)building layout and function,4)building form structure and materials,we investigate and analyze the Hongtu street, and summarize the characteristics and current situation of all aspects. The second part: first of all, based on the architectural space, the basic situation, living habits and customs of the old street residents are investigated and surveyed to explore the adaptation between the street and the "micro space" of the building and the residents’ production and life.Secondly, based on the regulation of "microclimate" of street and building space, the old street and building space are measured and simulated to explore the street shape and building shape and its effect on "microclimate".Finally, based on the previous analysis and research, combined with the current situation of environmental adaptation mechanism analysis and evaluation. The third part: firstly, based on the evaluation, the protection and development principles based on the environmental adaptation mechanism are proposed. Finally, the corresponding protection and development strategies are proposed based on the principles.Based on the comprehensive analysis of the environmental adaptation mechanism of the old laterite street, this paper puts forward the protection and development strategies.Based on the perspective of environmental adaptation mechanism to study the traditional street can provide a shallow foundation for the same type of related research, but also can get better protection and development of historical streets and traditional buildings. |
