Study On Decoration Of Traditional Buildings In Western Hubei And Its Application In Environmental Design

The traditional architecture has developed a unique style in the international community with the long-standing history and culture of China,and the decorative art in traditional architecture is more impressive.The decorative art of traditional architecture is a reflection of the economic strength of the era at that time,and it is also a perfect representation of the craftsman’s artistic attainments.in another hand decoration,as an external form of art that people keep in close contact with,sets up a bridge for communication between the people and traditional architecture.Therefore,it is of practical significance and theoretical reference to study the decorative arts in traditional buildings in a specific area for the inheritance of cultural genes.The western Hubei Province lies in the foothills of the Wuling Region,where is surrounded by trees,flowers and towering mountains.The culture of the ethnic minorities and the Han people gather together here.The traditional stone building decoration in this area has rich and varied forms of expression and cultural connotations.This article takes this as the research object and compares and analyzes various aspects of the local natural environment,cultural background,style characteristics,and elemental analysis in western Hubei.And this article summarized the traditional stone building decoration in western Hubei Province by adopting literature review,collation and research methods,case study methods,and field work.The development trend and application method of traditional building stone decoration in modern environmental art design has been analyzed through the study of traditional stone decoration in western Hubei Province.This paper evaluated the feasibility of the design cases which designed based on the innovation of traditional building stone decoration.In the end,this paper attempts to explore the inheritance and development of stone decoration for traditional buildings in western Hubei,and explores the connotation and ways of embodies traditional architectural culture in a modern environment at the same time.This article has been divided into four parts:The first part(Chapter 1)discusses the issue of creation.Through the interpretation of the key points of traditional architecture,stone decoration,environmental design and famous design,this part discusses why traditional architecture stone decoration and modern environment design need to be combined and deeply explores the lack of traditional culture in contemporary civilization.The second part(chapter 2-4)discusses the process of creative research.This part Interprets of the traditional architecture of Western Hubei as a decoration to help us understand its cultural heritage.The third part(chapter 5-6)discusses the process of creative practice.By summarizing traditional stone building decoration in Western Hubei,analyzing the design cases which implemented stone decoration element in local hotels,the project of designing hostel in Longping of Xianfeng County has been completed based on the research of combining modern design with traditional stone decoration and the research of local environment design.The fourth part(Chapter 7)discusses the perception of this creative practice.Through previous research and analysis,this project has completed the research of the implementation of traditional building stone decoration and its implementation with environmental design in western Hubei Province.This part will also discuss the trend of stone decoration design in modern environmental design and the related follow-up research work in the future by summarizing the achievements obtained in this practice.
