| With the name of "the important town of Heluo and the upper reaches of Wuchu",the ancient Guangzhou region is located in the southeastern tip of Henan province,the junction of three provinces of Hubei,Henan and Anhui,and the upper reaches of the Huai river.During the Ming and Qing dynasties,when immigration activities were frequent,it received the immigrants from Jiangxi,Hubei,Shanxi and other places.The population,economy,cultural customs and other aspects of the ancient Guangzhou area are affected by the immigration factors in the Ming and qing dynasties.The immigration factor also affects the traditional settlement and the architectural structure of the ancient Guangzhou area,whether it is the traditional village of the blood-based settlement which pays attention to the cohesion of the clan,or the numerous market town settlements which flourish after the immigration,or the large house dwellings of the ethnic group,the courtyard dwellings and ancestral temple buildings with obvious cultural characteristics.Therefore,this paper attempts to study the characteristics and evolution of traditional settlements and residential buildings in Guangzhou region from the perspective of immigrants in the Ming and Qing dynasties,and to explore the profound impact of immigrants in the Ming and Qing dynasties on the settlement and residential buildings from two aspects.The paper can be divided into four parts:The first part is the first chapter and the second chapter,as the foundation of the study.Firstly,the research content and time and space scope are defined,the existing research situation is summarized,and the research methods and framework are stated.Secondly,it states the historical evolution and natural geographical environment of Guangzhou area.Finally,the paper focuses on the migration movement of the Ming and Qing dynasties that had a far-reaching influence on the ancient Guangzhou area(the present southeast Henan region).All the migrations were closely related to the natural environment and social background of the area.In order to discuss the Ming and Qing dynasties migration on the region’s population,economy,culture,customs and other aspects of the major impact.The second part is the third chapter,for the study of traditional settlements.Firstly,the settlement types and preservation distribution of traditional settlements in Guangzhou area are summarized.Then,from the perspective of traditional villages,market towns and town types,this paper studies the influence of immigrants on their number,location,layout and form.Finally,the evolution process of the traditional settlements in Guangzhou region under the background of immigration is summarized as the conclusion of the research on traditional settlements.The third part is chapter four and chapter five,which is the research part of residential architecture.Based on the field investigation,the existing traditional folk houses in Guangzhou area are divided into five categories according to the plane shape and system functions: connecting type,courtyard type,front shop and back house type,hall type,hall type,and ancestral hall type.Then and migration channels of Jiangxi and Hubei region and permanently in Henan traditional dwellings in the layout and construction technology is a comparative study on two aspects,through to explore the cause of the differences,with historical research summary of thinking in Guangzhou traditional local-style dwelling houses building shape in immigration under the background of time and space of dynamic evolvement process and evolvement of reason,local-style dwelling houses building part of the research conclusion.The last part is the sixth chapter for conclusion,which is the conclusion of the whole paper.It lists and expounds the previous research viewpoints,including the traditional settlements and the residential buildings,and finally analyzes and summarizes the difficulties and shortcomings of this research. |
