Ancient building as an example of human history and civilization,reflects the spiritual culture of a certain period.How to better deal with and resolve the contradiction between development and protection,to realize the standardized management of the model entities and the digital archives of the information in the ancient building component library system has become one of the most concerned topics in today’s society.However, the emergence of BIM technology provides a new way of thinking for the solution of this problem.This paper based on the analysis of the structure form and the construction law for ancient building in the Ming and Qing.Ancient building components as the smallest size unit,Component library as the object of study,combined with the National Natural Science Foundation Project "Digital Protection and Restoration of Ancient Buildings of the Ming and Qing Based on BIM"(51278400),to study the parametric design and implementation technology of the ancient building component library in BIM environment.1.The realization method of information classification and encoding of ancient building components in Ming and Qing Dynasties was put forward.According to the overall shape of ancient buildings and the form of single components information to classify components information,at the same time, using the flexible code structure of the unified information organization to complete components coding system architecture design,and apply in BIM models to realize the information expression ofmodel entities.2. Completed the parametric design of 3D component library of ancient building in Ming and Qing.On the basis of the research on key technology of parametric information model components,puts forward The concept and design principles of parameterized 3D component library.At the same time, combining the overall design and function design for each structure to complete the parametric design of the 3D component library.And using system run test as standard to verify its feasibility and accuracy.3. Studied the information management process for parametric 3D component library of the ancient building in the Ming and Qing.Analyze and elaborate business processes for information model storage and invoke in the component library,establishing the management system of the component library, which is based on the communication and feedback between the administrator and the users,and from the three aspects for storage,assembly of the components,operation and maintenance of the component library to realize standardization and information management for component library,component entities and data.4. Through the summary and induction of the above research contents, this paper points out the deficiencies of the study and the direction for further research.
