| The traditional village is the carrier of the historical memory of Chinese farming civilization for thousands of years. The traditional village is valued as its highly localized form is naturally shaped by villagers through generations. It shows the beauty of the nation accumulated by rich cultural history.Guizhou is one of the provinces with the largest number of ethnic minorities in China.Due to ethnic, regional, political, economic, and historical reasons, many cottages and ethnic villages in Guizhou also have their own unique residential buildings with a strong ethnical and regional culture retained. The focuses and outputs of researches on traditional villages in Guizhou have been however concentrated on the southeast of Guizhou, and few mentions have been made of traditional villages in southwest.Louna Village as the model village of the “beautiful village” project in southwestern Guizhou, has a series of problems that need to be paid attentions to such as "homogenization of design" and "duplication of functions".Based on the "symbiosis theory" in biology, this article sorts out the development of symbiosis theory in the field of architecture and traditional settlements is studied, and the three elements of symbiosis in symbiosis theory,In this way, combines the spatial characteristics of traditional villages to analyse the three elements of symbiosis unit, symbiosis mode and symbiosis environment in traditional villages.and the design principles of traditional village space activation design based on the symbiosis theory are proposed.Thinking about the applicability and guiding significance of introducing symbiosis theory into the activation of traditional village spaces. Then through the analysis of the symbiotic environment elements and symbiotic units of the traditional villages in Louna, the reciprocal symbiosis model between the symbiotic units and the symbiotic environment of traditional villages is discussed, and the strategy of spatial activation of the traditional villages in Louna is proposed. Finally, according to the activation design strategy for the construction of traditional villages in Louna,Dazhai Village in Louna is used for actual case design analysis. The vitality of the village lies in its unstoppable development. The change of the spatial form of the traditional village is inevitable. Therefore, the best way to protect the traditional village is "harmonious symbiosis".It means to optimize the original function of the village and enhance its vitality while protecting, thus promote a sustainable development.Through the research in this paper,it is expected that some symbiotic design strategies and 0design methods will be formed, which can open up ideas for the redesign of traditional village space activation, and at the same time provide some strategic methods and references for the traditional village space activation as well as design work in the southwest of Guizhou. |
