A Study On The Architectural Form Of The Bai’s Traditional Folk Dwellings In Dali

With the advancement of urbanization in China,modern architecture has been recognized by the public,and many traditional residential buildings without the characteristics of urbanization have not been properly inherited and developed.Due to the imbalance of urban and rural development,many rural areas still retain the traditional dwellings with local characteristics.However,due to the lack of understanding of the architectural culture of regional dwellings,it brings challenges to the inheritance of traditional dwellings.Therefore,it is extremely important to interpret the morphological characteristics of traditional dwellings and explore their relationship with the historical and cultural background.This paper takes Nuodeng Village,Yunlong County,Dali City,Yunnan Province as an example.Based on the above problems,this paper sets up five chapters,which can be divided into three parts.The first part consists of the first two chapters.Firstly,the introduction discusses the research origin,research object and research method and framework.Secondly,the background information of the formation of traditional residential building forms in Nuodeng Village is summarized,including the characteristics of geographical environment and humanistic and economic environment.The second part corresponds to three or four chapters of this paper and is also the key chapter of this research.First of all,four types of plane layout are cited to illustrate the diversity of traditional residential building forms in Nuodeng Village.Through the study of the layout style and spatial sequence of individual buildings,it shows that several common architectural patterns in Nuodeng Village are the same in spatial sequence structure.Secondly,due to the mountainous terrain,the paper studies the morphological characteristics of residential buildings from three angles: front,side and inside.Through the study of the decorative arts of wood,stone carving and tile,this paper summarizes the diversity and attention to detail of the decorative arts of the residential buildings in Nordengbai Village.Finally,the construction components and building materials of the folk houses in Nuodeng Village are studied,and the construction characteristics of the traditional Bai folk houses in Nuodeng Village are further sorted out.The third part is corresponding to the fifth chapter of this paper.The design practice part of this study firstly summarizes the methods and strategies for the inheritance and renewal of traditional dwellings in Nuodeng Village in the analysis of the current situation of traditional dwellings in Nuodeng Village.Four most representative individual types of residential houses were selected to carry out morphological renewal and transformation,and the inheritance of regional courtyard types,architectural profile facade,decorative art,architectural color and construction technology was deepened and the updating contents of modern architectural technology and building materials were introduced.In the end,it is expected that this study will pay more attention to the inheritance of the bai’s traditional residential architecture culture,and at the same time explore the new lifestyle of traditional residential in Nuodeng Village,providing a new choice and reference for the development of traditional residential.
