An Analysis Of Architect’s Introspection And Works In The Context Of Time-space Compression

In the context of time-space compression,the lack of spirit in the general sense of architectural space,and the current people’s yearning for poetic dwelling and the pursuit of space spirit have become a group of contradictions to be solved.With the dramatic change of time and space,this problem becomes more and more prominent,which stimulates contemporary architects to constantly reflect on themselves.People’s demand for architecture is not only practical,solid and beautiful,but also the feeling of space spirit.Although previous studies have involved the theories of shaping space spirit,such as "place spirit","poetic construction","quiet space",we still lack a systematic and clear research framework and analytical method,which integrates architects with self-examination consciousness,continuous exploration and practice of building space spirit into the context of space-time compression for analysis.In the context of the times,the importance of architects’ self-examination for the shaping of space spirit.This thesis firstly analyzes the introspection of modern Chinese architects.Through the reading of literature,it sorts out the development process of Chinese architects’ introspection.Based on the thinking and practice of current architects,it analyzes that there are three types in the context of time-space compression.The main introspective positions are critical resistance to the context of time-space compression,active response to the context of time-space compression,and expedient intervention in the context of time-space compression.Taking specific cases as research objects,this thesis analyzes introspective architecture cases under the background of space-time compression by extracting typical,graphical analysis,architect speech analysis and classification comparison from the types,aiming to summarize the architectural design strategies and methods with introspection.The introspective design methods of the architects can help solve the dilemma of the lack of architectural spirit,and can provide a reference for the design of architectural space spirit under the current time and space compression background.
