With the development of science and technology and the convergence of management models among enterprises,the gap between cost and quality of products is gradually narrowing or even indistinguishable,and customers are becoming more and more picky in the face of homogeneous products.In this context,the competition among enterprises has risen from the competition of cost and quality to the competition of time dimension,so how to shorten the lead time of the supply chain is the first priority of enterprises.Company D as an industrial plain bearing manufacturer,is under great pressure of delivery time due to its project-based characteristics.Customers’ requirements for delivery time are getting higher and higher,and even the delivery time of certain projects is the primary consideration of customers in the bidding process.This paper takes how to shorten the delivery time of Company D’s products as the research theme,based on lean production theory combined with value stream tools to sort out its current business processes,analyze the time wasting problems in the whole supply chain process of Company D,and propose solutions to shorten the delivery time for the problems.This paper selects D company’s main series of self-lubricating joint bearings for analysis,draws the value flow diagram of the product,through the analysis of the value flow diagram to find out the current product delivery time is long several main problems:order processing link waste,direct materials and indirect materials procurement cycle is long,long changeover time,there is waste in the process,etc.,and then for these problems to put forward improvement ideas and design the value Then,we proposed improvement ideas and designed a value stream future map.With reference to the value stream future diagram and based on lean manufacturing principles,the following optimization and improvement solutions were proposed:the order processing process was optimized to remove unnecessary operation processes;the procurement management was optimized to significantly reduce the delivery time of direct materials;the procurement process of indirect materials was optimized by introducing the BPM system to shorten the procurement application processing process and the procurement time of key tools;the changeover process was optimized to improve the changeover process.By optimizing the changeover process,the changeover process was improved and the changeover time was shortened;Optimization of the machining process to improve efficiency and reduce operating time etc..By implementing the above solutions,the process and processing time of all parts of the supply chain of Company D were greatly improved,which significantly shortened the delivery time of Company D and stay in a competitive position in the industry market.
