In 1922,Fengxi implemented the joint provincial autonomy of the three provinces in northeast China.In order to strengthen the political and economic ties among the three provinces,promote the independent development of the domestic railways,Fengxi put forward the Northeast independent railway network plan.This plan is to build two major east and west railway lines on both sides of the South Manchuria Railway,connecting Shenyang to Qiqihar、Shenyang to Jilin and other places,the part of the railway according to the needs to extend appropriately.In 1924,the Eastern Three Provinces Traffic Committee established,the Northeast set off a hot wave of self-run railways.At the beginning of the construction of the self-run railways,the Northeast authority had a strong planning.Zhang Xueliang led the Northeast Traffic Committee to carry out railroad through transport among the railroads in the Northeast in order to play a practical role in facilitating traffic after the completion of the construction of each railroad.This paper explores the development and resistance of self-run railway intermodal transportaion in Northeast China,the competition between self-run railway and South Manchuria railroad and Zhongdong Road,analyzes the development of self-run railway intermodal transportation in Northeast China and the countermeasures and achievements taken by China’s railway under the suppression of Japan and Russia,which reflects the great significance of the implementation of through transport in Northeast China.This paper is divided into four parts:The first part is to introduce the reasons for implementation of the through transport after the completion of the Northeast self-run railways.Japanese and Russian aggression against China led to the continuous transportation of Chinese specialties to foreign countries.In order to safeguard China’s national rights、military and people’s livelihood,the Northeast authority decided to build the East and West lines in Northeast China and realize the through transport of all roads in the two major lines.The second part expounds the development of Northeast China self-run railway through transport and the resistance encountered by Northeast authority in the process of implementing through transport.The Northeast self-run railway through transportation is mainly the connection transportation of the East and West four routes in the East and west two major lines.The Northeast authority was obstructed by Japan when seeking the through transportation of various routes,but the Northeast self-run railway through transportation plan of our country finally realized.The third part investigates the competition between the self-run railway in Northeast China and the South Manchuria railway and Zhongdong railway.After the formation of East and West through transport line in Northeast,it had a direct competitive relationship with the South Manchuria railway and Zhongdong railway,the three parties took many measures to seek their own interests.The fourth part mainly evaluates the self-run railway intermodal transportation in Northeast China.The development of the self-run railway through transportation in Northeast China broke the railway pattern that Japan and Russia monopolized the Northeast Railway,hit the South Manchuria railway and Zhongdong railway to a certain extent,and also promoted the development and trade in Northeast China.However,due to the sudden outbreak of the September 18 th Incident,the goal set by the Northeast authorities could not be achieved.
