| With the development of domestic economy,more and more airports were newly built in many cities,which have become an important facility for people’s daily travel.As one of the important bases in the air transport system,airports have taken on an important task.Laws,regulations,rules and normative documents of civil aviation have been used to strictly manage safety operation of airports by administrations of airports.When touchdown in advance,runway excursion and runway overrun have appeared,the soil area of the airport is an important area to reduce the damage,which requires the soil area have a certain bearing capacity.According to the regulations of CAAC,the soil area should to be rolled and their compactness should to be detecteded twice a year.Spacing of particles in soil has been reflected by compactness,which is an important index,compactness detection is essentially to detect and maintain the bearing capacity of soil area.PFWD-Portable Falling Weight Deflectometer is a convenient and accurate instrument,which could detect dynamic elastic modulus of soil.Modulus is an important index of bearing capacity.In this paper,the applicability of the instrument in the airport soil area was simulated by PFWD and finite element,the change rule of PFWD modulus value under different excavation area has been found,and the excavation area needed for PFWD detection was determined.According to the specifications,three different fillers were prepared,the compactness and dynamic elastic modulus of three kinds of airports’ fillers were studied.The relationships between the dynamic elastic modulus values and the compactness of the three fillers in the unpaved area in airfield area of the airport was discovered,the dynamic elastic modulus values of the three fillers when the compactness was 87% were obtained.The mechanical response of soil zone under different modulus under main landing gear load was analyzed,which was based on the curve function obtained by PFWD.The unpaved area in airfield area of Guanghan airport was selected for field simulation.According to the detection,the relationship between modulus and compactness in soil area of Guanghan airport was obtained.The relationship of modulus and compactness was positively found,which the same as the three kinds of fillers.The theoretical compactness values of each measuring point were calculated by curve function,compared with the traditional methods,the applicability and accuracy of using PFWD to detect the compactness of the unpaved area in airfield area which has been further proved.At the same time,the mechanical response of the filler in unpaved area of airport under different modulus were analyzed by the curve function and finite element.Suggestions have been given,which could take control of compactness detection in the unpaved area of Guanghan Airport.In this paper,a technology of using PFWD to detect the compactness of unpaved area in airfield area in civil airport was proposed.The existing traditional compactness detection methods can be replaced by this way and the maintenance efficiency of airport can be improved. |
