Wind power is one of the clean energy power generation methods with relatively complete technology in the current era.However,the volatility and uncertainty of wind resources will affect the stable operation of the power system,especially the large wind power change that occurs in a short period of time,resulting in ramp events.Therefore,the use of certain auxiliary methods to smooth wind power ramp events,reduce wind power ramp rate,and solve the pressure caused by wind power ramp events on the system has become a research hotspot for scholars at home and abroad.Aiming at the problem of wind power ramp events,this paper uses a pumped storage power station to assist wind farm output to form a wind-storage combined system,and proposes a wind power ramp event smoothing strategy based on event-based optimization(EBO).First,this paper explains the causes and harms of wind power ramp events,the common definitions of ramp events,and the necessity of smoothing the ramp events.Analyze the advantages of pumped-storage technology in wind power ramp event smoothing,and clarify the basic reasons for using pumped-storage power station as an auxiliary event smoothing method of wind farm.The EBO theory is briefly explained,its basic model is given,and the advantages of EBO in strategic solution are demonstrated.Secondly,taking the ramp event smoothing performance as the objective function,constructing the necessary variable value function and event Q factor in the EBO,and then the wind power ramp event smoothing model is established.Under the optimal immediate smoothing performance and the optimal day-ahead smoothing performance,respectively,two control strategies for controlling ramp events are obtained.Third,on the basis of the optimal smoothing model for wind power ramp events,the influencing factors of the economic benefits of the wind-storage combined system are introduced,and the value function and Q factor for economic benefits are constructed.Form a new EBO model,and through the benefit Q factor performance differential search method,gradually select the improvement decision,and use the strategy iteration idea to determine the final optimization smoothing strategy.Finally,the actual wind farm operating data is used to simulate a case study.The simulation results show that the auxiliary means of pumped storage can effectively control the ramp events generated by the wind farm,reduce the ramp rate of wind power grid integration,and increase the economics of the wind-storage combined system.
