In recent years,the development of general aviation aircraft industry has been growing.As the main type of general aviation aircraft,small aircraft is gradually improved in all aspects.The cockpit display system tends to be complex and diversified.Pilots have a deeper demand for the interactive process and operation experience of interface information.In order to improve the cognitive efficiency and flight safety of pilots,the information display design in the interface should meet the rules of pilots’ visual cognition and the design criteria of primary flight display interface.In this paper,the primary flight display of general aviation small aircraft is taken as the research object.The interface information is combined with the actual flight task,and the research is carried out according to the pilots’ cognitive mode and eye movement characteristics.Firstly,the pilot’s attention to the functional information of the primary flight display is sorted out to determine the priority of the information display on the interface of the primary flight display.Secondly,eye tracking technology and questionnaire survey method are used to collect the eye movement data of the pilot in completing the task,and the eye movement data analysis index is used to analyze the fixation line of the pilot In order to carry out quantitative analysis,the distribution of visual attention and cognitive load of pilots during the experimental task were obtained.The design features of the interface information elements of the primary flight display are obtained by mathematical modeling and analysis of the design elements and perceptual images of the interface information of the primary flight display by the theory of quantification.According to the airworthiness regulations and the above-mentioned eye movement experimental data conclusion,an improved design principle of human-computer interaction of primary flight display interface is established,and the feasible design scheme of primary flight display interface is proposed.The eye movement experiment method is used to establish the verification and evaluation system of the interface design scheme of the primary flight display.The differences of the eye movement characteristics between the existing interface of the primary flight display and the new design scheme are compared and analyzed,and the feasibility and safety of the new design scheme are verified,and the man-machine interface of the primary flight display is obtained,which not only meets the flight safety but also improves the visual cognitive efficiency.
