Barrier Free Design Principles And Methods

The Convention on the Rights of the Child mentions that “children enjoy leisure time and enjoyable leisure time,play games matching ages,etc.” This fully demonstrates the importance of providing play space for children.Normal children expect that they can often go out and play outdoors,as well as children with disabilities.The public space in the city needs to satisfy children's amusement needs,and the activities that make children comfortable and enjoyable are the top priorities.The design of the game venue is related to the development of the children's physical and mental health.This requires designers to be based on the principle of people-oriented,to make children's play space more equal and comfortable.The application of barrierfree design principles in children's play space not only makes children feel the joy of outdoor games,but also has a positive effect on the development of social environment.This article starts from the principle of barrier-free design and finds that the current barrier-free design specifically targeting children is still the neglected part of the current legal standards and domestic and foreign research.Through organizing and summarizing children's physiological,psychological,and activity scales and other types of data in different age groups,combining domestic and international research status and cases,the design methods and principles of children's parks are summarized.Put people-centered as a design concept,based on the principle of barrier-free design and the requirements of Party A and combined with the investigation and analysis of design plots.It is hoped to provide a reference for researchers who are concerned about the barrier-free design of children through the research on barrier-free design principles and the upgrading of the New Lake Children's Park Design Project in the planning and design project of the New Lake Scenic Area in Dezhou City.At the same time,we hope that through this study,more people in the society will be concerned about the right of people with disabilities to participate in the search for a more complete play space for disabled children,so that children with disabilities equally participate in the game.
