| Termites are the most harmful social insects in my country.In recent years,the number and extent of termite damage in Bengbu City showed increasing trend,and the damage of termite to buildings increased gradually.In order to further understand the current status of termite damage in Bengbu City and provide reliable data support for future termite prevention and control work,this study conducted a more systematic investigation on the species,distribution and damage status of termite in this city from2016 to 2020.Combined with the city’s termite prevention and control work,indoor screening of control agents was carried out,and outdoor application verification of termite control was assayed.The results were as follows:1.After manual survey and combined with flying samples in the past five years,the existing termite species in Bengbu City are counted.The termites in Bengbu include 7species belongs to 2 families.There are 5 species belonging to the Rhinotermitidae,namely Reticulitermes labralis,R.chinensis,R.pendaculabiali,R.curvatus,and Coptotermes formosanus.The other 2 species belonging to the Termitidae,namely Odontotermes ontanellus and O.formosanus,respectively.Among them,R.chinensis accounted for the largest number of harmful termites,followed by R.labralis.2.The indoor pesticide screening was carried out based on the death time of the tested termites.The indoor screening of control agents was carried out with the most serious damage to R.chinensis.The results showed that the control effect of 0.5% fipronil powder was better than that of 1% imidacloprid powder.As the proportion of termite pollination increased,the number of days required for termite death in the petri dish decreased firstly,and then increased.When the pollination ratio was 10%,the mortality rate is 100% in 5days which treated with 0.5% fipronil powder.Indoor bioassay results of bait show that,it needs 14.3 days for 0.08% sulfluramid bait,and 17.3 days for 0.5% flutamide bait using the same treatment method.3.Based on the results of indoor screening of chemical agents,this study carried out an evaluation of outdoor termite control.The results showed that the underground bait stations had a trapping rate of 41.96% for R.chinesis in the Central Garden community,and the trapping time was 2-8 weeks,the termite nests required for 0.5% fipronil powder was mostly within 7 days.0.08% sulfluramid bait was mostly within 2 weeks,the longest was 5 weeks.The trapping rate of C.formosanus in Civic Square was 17.5% with 8-16 weeks,which needed 10-14 weeks when the mortality is 100%,and 0.08% sulfluramid bait was 6-10 weeks.The trapping rate of O.formosanus in Longhu Spring community was10.71%,which needed 8 weeks when the mortality is 100%,and 0.08% sulfluramid bait was 10 weeks. |
