Road engineering is a very important link for passenger and freight transportation in traffic engineering.To improve the safety of road engineering and effectively reduce the occurrence of traffic accidents,it is not enough to pay attention to the geometric alignment design of the road itself,but to pay attention to the reasonable design and construction of traffic safety facilities.Traffic safety facilities are an important part of the road environment,and their rationality is directly related to driving safety,the incidence of traffic accidents and the effectiveness and standardization of driving guidance.In this paper,aiming at the potential safety hazards existing in the design,construction and maintenance of highway traffic safety facilities,a comprehensive analysis is made,and a new evaluation method of traffic safety facilities is proposed by using matter-element model after comparative analysis.BIM technology is applied to the evaluation method of traffic safety facilities from the following aspects:Firstly,in the preparation stage before evaluation,automatic identification and rapid modeling of layout conditions of highway traffic safety facilities are realized based on Visual Studio platform and C#language secondary development,which is BIM in the evaluation process Secondly,in the evaluation process,the full-line automatic verification of quantitative indicators is realized by using the automatic accounting function of the road model with Civil 3D software,and the BIM technology is combined with the matter-element model evaluation method to realize the comprehensive and accurate evaluation of quantitative and qualitative indicators for the situation that the number of highway traffic facilities is huge,the setting principles are diverse and the quantitative and visual degree of qualitative evaluation indicators is poor;Then,relying on the advantage of open source of BIM API in Autodesk platform,based on Revit software platform,C#language in Visual Studio is used to develop the safety evaluation system of security facilities,and the matter-element model evaluation method is integrated in the system,thus realizing the in-depth application of BIM technology in traditional evaluation methods.In this evaluation system,BIM technology has the characteristics of strong informationization and visualization,and realizes the two-way circulation of data information in the evaluation process,the visual color separation display of evaluation result grade and the information display of evaluation deduction items;Finally,based on the practical engineering provincial highway S50,the safety evaluation of traffic safety facilities was applied and compared with the traditional evaluation method,which confirmed the accuracy and effectiveness of the evaluation system.
