Rural Highway Traffic Safety Status Quo Analysis And Safety Facilities Improve Countermeasures

Rural highway is an important part of highway network in our country, it is the necessary supporting conditions on construct new socialist countryside. With the constant growth of rural highway mileage and the increasing of motor vehicle quantities, rural highway traffic safety problem also prominent, in a certain extent,which become the important factors of that constraints economic and social development in rural area.This paper analyzes the problems of rural highway traffic safety in China, discussed the impact of rural areas people, cars, roads, environment and management on traffic safety, the rural highway traffic accident form and accident distribution and the main reason that lead to rural highway traffic accident, then puts forward the rural highway traffic safety concept and the corresponding traffic safety facilities improvement measures, the results show that when people trip with the shortcut psychology, the operational speed discreteness, poor road conditions, transportation safety facilities are not perfect, adverse weather conditions and traffic safety management level is not higher are important influence factors that causing rural highway traffic safety on the low level. Rural highway traffic accident form and traffic accidents distribution has diversity, major accident form as positive collision, side collision, following collision and lateral scratching, this closely related to the driver's gender, age and driving age, vehicle safety status, road condition and roadside environment.The factor that causing rural highway traffic accident is multivariate, the main reason is speeding, fatigue driving, drunk driving, overtaking and insufficient space required road passes. Rural highway traffic safety facilities improvement can use one or several measures combination, and ultimately should guarantee rural highway functions.This paper discussed the rural highway traffic accident cause particularly from the perspective of rural highway traffic accident form and accident distribution, and the rural highway traffic safety concept which this paper put forward have an important role in improve rural highway traffic safety.
