Ordinary ball mill refers to a kind of grinding machine,which is composed of hollow cylindrical cylinder,bearings that hold the cylinder rotating and driving parts,It is also the most important wet grinding equipment for raw material treatment in ceramic industry.When the ball mill is working,the grinding mediums inside the mill repeatedly impact and grind the material entering the mill,so that on the basis of reaching the expected particle size,each component can be well mixed,and the proportion of each component remains unchanged.Ball mill has been widely used in medicine,chemical industry,cement,ceramics,electric power,mineral processing and national defense industry since it was invented 100 years ago.Although the ball mill is simple in structure,stable in performance,easy to operate and has been used in various industries,it′s power consumption is huge,the conversion rate of electric energy into powder specific surface energy is low,and most of the energy is consumed by itself,rather than used to reduce the actual material particle size.In addition,the production capacity of the ball mill is related to the production efficiency of the whole production process.Therefore,it is very necessary to optimize the grinding process of the ball mill,reduce the energy consumption of the ball mill,complete the grinding treatment of raw materials with energy saving and high efficiency,and improve the final product income.In this paper,four factors,such as filling rate of grinding medium,gradation,ratio of ball to material and dispersant,are selected to study the influence of working parameters of ball mill on the fineness of grinding material.The experiment uses YX3 90L-6 motor driven double roller ball mill,and the filling rate of grinding medium was 40%,50% and 60%.In terms of gradation,there are six groups:(5-6)mm:(8-9)mm:(9-10)mm = 3:1:1,(3-4)mm:(5-6)mm:(8-9)mm = 1 : 3 : 1,(9-10)mm,(2-2.5)mm:(5-6)mm = 3:2,(2-2.5)mm:(8-9)mm = 3:2 and(2-2.5)mm:(5-6)mm:(8-9)mm = 1:3:1.The ratio of ball material to water is 3:1:1,4:1:1 and 5:1:1,the dispersant is polyacrylamide,the dosage is 1.0%,1.5% and 2.0%.The results show that when the ratio of ball to material is 5:1:1,the D50 of the ground material decreases the most;The D50 of the milled material decreases the most when the filling ratio is 50%;In the coarse particle grinding stage,the large-size grinding medium plays the main role,while in the fine particle grinding stage,the small-size grinding medium plays the main role,and the three gradations contained in large,medium and small balls can reduce the D50 of the ground material most;The addition of 1.5% dispersant can make the D50 of ground material decrease the most.
