Since the new century,China’s demand for electricity has been rising steadily with the development of economy and the improvement of national living standards.Electric power enterprises are pushing ahead with the construction of transmission and transformation projects to meet the increasing demand for electric power.In order to realize the comprehensive rejuvenation of the old industrial base in Northeast China,the investment of power grid projects in Shenyang area has been increasing year by year,which will protect the development of regional economy.Substation,as the hub of power system,is an important part of power transmission and transformation project.It plays an important role in transforming voltage and distributing electric energy.Substation project decision-making,design,construction and other aspects can’t be ignored,its quality,progress,safety and other factors are related to the construction objectives of the substation project.Power transmission and transformation projects in China often have the characteristics of large investment,high technical requirements,long construction cycle,more project participants and high safety standards.These characteristics determine that the construction process of power transmission and transformation projects will face various uncertain risks,which will have a decisive impact on the success or failure of the project implementation.Therefore,it is necessary to study the risk management of substation project investment.This paper introduces the research trends of risk management at home and abroad,and expounds the concept of project risk management.The process and method of risk identification,risk evaluation and risk response of project risk management are introduced in detail.On this basis,taking Zhongxing Substation in Liaoning Province as the research object,the project risk identification was carried out,and all the risk factors faced by the project were identified.Then carries on the project risk appraisal to it,carries on the analysis and the summary to the risk factor.Finally,according to the evaluation results,we find out scientific and reasonable measures to deal with risks.Taking Zhongxing Substation in Liaoning Province as an example,this paper carries out risk management analysis in order to explore a more scientific method for investment risk management of substation engineering projects in China.
