China’s ministry of commerce officially launched the project of "move kuwata from east to the west" in 2006,under this background,the development of traditional silkworm mulberry industry in HangZhou-JiaXing-HuZhou area is seriously restricted,the cocoon mills with regional characteristics and local construction wisdom are also facing idle,abandoned gradually,and further away from people’s vision.As the representative of local industrial architecture,the cocoon mill which is the front end and foundation of the silk industrial system is still in the blank,this is extremely unmatched with the importance of cocoon mill in the whole process of silk industry system.Thus,it is urgent to carry out further investigation and research.First of all,this paper relevant researches on domestic or abroad rural industrial architectures and are sorted out through classification,and "rural industrial buildings"are defined from three dimensions,including location,type and construction mode;With the help of literature review,this paper collects and sorts out the relevant information of cocoon station building in HangZhou-JiaXing-HuZhou area from historical data and traditional local records,and sorts out the general situation of cocoon mills development in this area,the list of cocoon mills in HangZhou-JiaXing-HuZhou area is constructed,and the construction and classification of cocoon mill are summarized;on the basis of field research,the general layout of cocoon mill and the main features of drying room and yard in cocoon mills in HangZhou-JiaXing-HuZhou were also summarized.Finally,take the ZhongGuan cocoon mill in DeQing county as an example,carry out exploratory activation and renewal so as to find a reasonable and reasonable way of living for the cocoon mills,and provide a reference for the construction renewal and research work in the future...
