Research On Optimization Strategy Of Public Parking Space Organization Of Motor Vehicles In Suzhou Ancient City

Suzhou is one of the first 24 national historical and cultural cities,and the only national historical and cultural city protection demonstration zone.Its ancient city is well-known both at home and abroad for its long history and culture,profound cultural heritage,unique water and rural features,and outstanding double chessboard pattern.With the acceleration of the urbanization process,the popularity of motor vehicles continues to increase,the flow of motor vehicles in the ancient city of Suzhou has risen sharply,and the demand for parking has increased.It caused problems such as inadequate parking supply and demand,space mismatch and disorder.However,based on the requirements for comprehensive protection of the ancient city,the parking space available for increase is very limited.The only way to rationally organize the existing public parking space is to alleviate parking conflicts and improve the traffic environment.Therefore,it is of great theoretical significance and application value to study and discuss the optimization of the public parking space organization of motor vehicles in the ancient city of Suzhou.Based on combing the relevant theories,literature and practices of the public parking space in the ancient city,the study summarizes the current road,traffic and parking characteristics,and analyzes the problems and causes.In view of the protection of historical culture,maintaining the vitality of the ancient city,ensuring life travel,and easing urban traffic,the overall organizational idea of "overall restrictions and local adjustments" and the principle of promoting public transport priority,with small and medium-sized parking spaces as the whole.Taking the protection of the ancient city as the purpose,based on the reality,the optimization strategy research is carried out on parking demand,supply,policy,management and other aspects.In terms of parking demand,set up restricted areas for motor vehicles,reorganize vehicle routes,implement bus priority,promote the establishment of a bus city and adjust traffic structure to reduce the total demand for parking;In terms of parking supply,control the total supply,relieve non-core functions,set up three types of parking zones,coordinate the internal and external parking supply,optimize the parking space layout,and achieve the purpose of overall parking regulation;In terms of parking policies,establish a three-level charging standard,implement a self-provided parking space and parking permit system,guide "P+R" travel,reduce commuting and tourism flows,and open basic parking lots and tap the potential of parking to ensure basic Parking demand;In terms of parking management,improve the parking information platform and smart parking system,promote the development of parking management intelligence,information and automation,strengthen the optimization of internal space organization,improve parking efficiency,strictly control illegal parking and strengthen publicity and education,and standardize parking behavior.
