Study On The Architecture Of Suxichang Academy From The Perspective Of Wu Culture

Wu culture is an important part of Han civilization.Su Xi is often the center of Wu,facing the lake and back to the sea,with developed shipping and convenient transportation.Wu is located in the main road of traffic between the north and the south.Its unique geographical location has created the rich and colorful cultural connotation of Wu.Since the Tang Dynasty,the level of agriculture and handicraft industry in Wu area has been gradually leading.The developed economy and sufficient material basis provide a solid material basis for the development of Wu area’s spiritual civilization.Wu culture is rich in connotation and constantly updated and evolved in the historical development,in which hardness and softness run through the whole development process of Wu culture.Wu culture is inclusive and open.After many changes of population,it has formed the cultural characteristics of pluralism and integration.Foreign culture and local culture coexist in Wu.The people of Wu paid great attention to Literature and Confucianism,and the number of top scholars and scholars reached a peak in Ming and Qing Dynasties.Su Xi Chang’s craftsmanship is superb,and the architectural treatment is exquisite.It has the reputation of "all carpenters in the south of the Yangtze River are from Xiangshan".Kuai Xiang,Ji Cheng and Yao Chengzu are all from here.In traditional architecture,academy architecture,as a literati architecture,has dual attributes of regional architectural characteristics and regional cultural characteristics,and becomes an important architectural type reflecting regional culture.There are many academies in Suzhou,Wuxi and Changzhou,which are widely distributed and have obvious cultural characteristics.This paper takes suxichang academy building as the research object,and analyzes the specific relationship between academy building and Wu culture as the research purpose.The main research contents include the development and remains of suxichang academy building,the development and characteristics of Wu culture,and the influence of Wu Culture on academy building.This paper takes the well preserved academy buildings as the clue,based on the sorting of historical documents,field research,combing and summarizing the characteristics of Wu culture.Taking Wu "shape","Wu" meaning "and Wu" craftsman "as the key points,this paper deeply explores the influence of Wu Culture on academy architecture,and takes Zhengyi academy,Donglin Academy and Erquan academy as examples to analyze their influence on academy architecture site selection,functional organization,spatial layout and single building.At last,it analyzes and highlights the Wu culture characteristic of academy architecture by comparing with other academies.According to the content of the study,the paper consists of five chapters: the first chapter is the introduction,which describes the topic of the paper.From the background,purpose,significance,research content,research methods,technical routes,content framework and possible research innovation to make a comprehensive exposition.The second chapter is the rise of academies and their development in Suzhou,Wuxi and Changzhou.Through literature review,this paper analyzes the educational background,historical evolution and distribution of suxichang academy,and selects appropriate cases for field research.The third chapter is the development and characteristics of Wu culture.Combing the development process of Wu culture,analyzing the development background and characteristics of its formation,development and variation,and finalization,from the three points of Wu "shape","Wu" meaning "and Wu" craftsman ",this paper sums up six characteristics of Wu culture,which are hard and soft,lofty aspiration,coexistence of etiquette and custom,emphasis on literature and Confucianism,superb skills,exquisite and delicate,and the meaning,causes and characteristics of these six characteristics Body performance analysis.Chapter four explores the influence of Wu Culture on Academy.Taking Zhengyi academy,Erquan academy and Donglin Academy as examples,this paper analyzes the six characteristics of Wu Culture in these three aspects.The fifth chapter compares Wu culture with other academies.Yuelu Academy,a representative Academy of Hunan culture,and Songyang academy,a representative Academy of Zhongzhou culture,are compared with the architectural characteristics of the Academy in Wu culture area,and the characteristics of suxichang academy that are different from those in other cultural areas are analyzed and highlighted.
