Analysis Of Travel Behavior Of High-speed Railway Passengers

In recent years,the construction of high-speed railway in China is booming,which brings great convenience to the traveling of the majority of citizens,and also provides new opportunities to accelerate the process of urban-rural integration and drive the economic growth along the routes.However,the operation of high-speed railways needs high costs.For railway transportation enterprises,it is necessary to analyze the passenger characteristics of high-speed railways,so that they can be demand-oriented,profit-oriented and better serve the society.Therefore,it is of vital importance to clarify the travel behavior of passengers under the situation of the vigorous promotion of high-speed railway,which is not only the basic business that the transport enterprise should undertake,but also the important basis for the subsequent development of the train operation plan.Firstly,the necessity of this subject is discussed from the actual situation of railway operation in China.Then,combined with the research situation of domestic and foreign scholars,this paper briefly introduces the travel behavior choice of passengers under the background of various transportation modes,and analyzes the travel behavior of high-speed railway passengers from the aspects of consumption behavior theory,utility theory and decision-making theory.Secondly,according to the survey results,the factors that affect the travel behavior of passengers are qualitatively analyzed,which can be summarized as traveler characteristics,socio-economic factors,mode characteristics and travel characteristics.There are other influencing factors such as land use and development,traffic network.Meanwhile,combined with the ticket data in the pre-sale period,the Matlab fitting curve tool box was used to analyze the data and draw the fitting curve between some OD.Then,a quantitative analysis was conducted based on specific data.After comparing the commonly used analysis methods,a binary Logit passenger travel behavior model was established based on the non-lump-sum theory to quantitatively analyze the impact of various factors on high-speed rail passenger travel,which also provided a reference for passenger flow analysis of other lines.Finally,taking the Baoji-Lanzhou High-speed Railway as an example.Through the investigation and collection of the corresponding data,the specific analysis of nine indicators covering the main characteristics of passengers,passenger travel characteristics and train service characteristics were analyzed.Then,the SPSS software was used for centralized data processing,and the relevant parameters were calibrated as well as the model was tested.It is concluded that under the joint effect of nine factors,the choice of individual passengers for high-speed railway is determined.
