With the rapid development of China’s carrier-based aircraft landing technology,the performance of arresting hook systems has been receiving widespread attention.The structure of arresting hook system is various.Among them,the retracting and buffering integrated arresting hook system has been widely used due to its simple structure,light weight,and high stability.In this paper,a integrated arresting hook system is taken as the research object and it’s retracting and buffering performance are studied.The influence of the instantaneous leveling process on its hydraulic system is studied.And mastered the modeling,simulation and test methods of such integrated arresting hook system.The principle of the electronic and the hydraulic control system of the arresting hook is analyzed,and the mechanical unit model of oil-gas longitudinal buffers with constant oil holes in the system was established.Theoretical analysis is made on the process of the arresting hook retracting and colliding ship bounce,and the dynamic equations of each process are derived.Based on CATIA software to establish the virtual prototype model of the arresting hook,and the platforms of LMS Imagine.Lab AMESim and LMS Virtual.Lab Motion were used to build the arresting hook hydraulic system model and the dynamic simulation model.And use o-simulation technology to carry out simulation analysis of retracting,colliding ship bounce and rapid leveling.The influence of key parameters of the actuating mechanism,such as the diameter of the damping hole,the initial filling pressure of the air cavity,aerodynamic force,etc,and the key parameters of the hydraulic system,such as liquid bomb parameters,oil leakage parameters,and throttle diameter on the retracting and buffering performance of the arresting hook is studied.Suggestions for parameter optimization are given.The research results show that the performance of the arresting hook system is better when diameter of the damping hole is about 5.5mm and filling pressure is about 10 bar,and the rapid leveling has minimal impact on the hydraulic system.Designed and set up a joint test bed for the arresting hook operation and the hydraulic system,and carried out the retracting test and the leveling test of the simulated hanging cable of the arresting hook.The test results are in good agreement with the simulation results,which verifies the correctness of the simulation model and the credibility of the conclusions,and has reference value for the design of the arresting hook test.
