Research On Image Analysis Of Contemporary Architectural Space Based On Phenomenology Of Perception

Since the 1990s,phenomenology of perception has exerted an important influence on contemporary architectural thought and practice.The analysis of this kind of thought and practice often stays in the theoretical text,photos,drawings and models.Although this kind of way can restore phenomenology to a certain extent,it can not fully reproduce the unique charm of perceptual phenomenology.Although relevant architects try to use concept sketches,scene segmentation and other image types with some poetic and perceptual characteristics,their expression focuses on the functional analysis of architecture and environment,but there are some deficiencies in the dimension of human perception.This study attempts to use the image analysis method of perceptual reproduction based on the theory of perceptual phenomenology and human perceptual experience embedded in the analysis of different cases,the research content is divided into the following two parts:In the process of theoretical background research,taking Merleau Ponty’s phenomenology of perception as the philosophical background,starting from the three basic characteristics of perception: the origin,the integrity and the primacy,this paper summarizes the dialectical thinking of the subject and object,the internal and external relations in phenomenology of perception,and abstracts it as much as possible.Then the philosophy guiding ideology of architectural design is arefined as the theoretical background,and the imagery expression of space image is abstracted as the research method.In the process of image analysis of architectural cases,firstly,taking the design works of Hall and Zumthor as the research object,this paper analyzes the impact of perceptual phenomenology on Western architectural space,and analyzes and reproduces the case of Hall and Zumthor from the perspective of spatial relationship and atmosphere perception;secondly,taking the classic cases of Junyalshigami and Wang Shu as the representative,this paper analyzes the breakthrough changes of contemporary Oriental architectural space caused by the evolution and development of perceptual phenomenology,and then makes an in-depth analysis on the spatial permeability of images;finally,through the comparison of Wang Shu’s and other similar architects’ creative ideas,this paper summarizes the differences of perception phenomenology and local architectural culture,and attempts to reproduce the spatial materialization of architectural thought dimension by image analysis.On this basis,this paper summarizes the space oriented significance of perceptual phenomenology to contemporary local architecture,and summarizes the image analysis methods based on perceptual phenomenology.
