Space Planning And Passenger Flow-Oriented Design Of Small Airports

With the rapid development of China’s civil aviation industry,traveling by plane has become the norm..Due to the small space scale and small passenger throughput of the small airport terminal,it is very easy to cause the disorder of passenger flow line,low space utilization rate and poor operation effect of the terminal when the number of passengers increases sharply in holidays.In order to improve the passenger experience and airport operation efficiency,it is necessary to study the spatial planning and passenger flow guidance of small airport terminal.Based on the theory of service design,this article starts from the perspective of passengers at the early stage of the design of small airport terminals,rationally plan the space of the terminal,and make full use of the guidance sign system for passenger flow guidance.Its main purpose is to demonstrate the "people-oriented" The concept enables passengers to have a better service experience in the terminal building,effectively improving the operational efficiency of small airports.This article firstly conducts a literature search on keywords such as public space,airport terminal space planning,and guidance sign system,and uses service design as a theoretical basis to explore its specific applications in small airport terminal space planning and guidance sign systems.Secondly,field surveys of domestic small airports and online research of foreign small airports,based on the distribution of survey questionnaires and user interviews,obtain real feedback from passengers and summarize user pain points,and provide guidance for the space planning and orientation identification system of small airport terminals.Finally,based on the space planning of the terminal building of Guangxi Yulin Fumian Airport and the design of the guidance sign system,the theoretical results of the research were applied to actual cases,and a return visit and on-site verification were carried out after the completion of the project.The innovations of this article are: firstly,it combines the service design with the space planning and oriented sign system of the small airport terminal,uses the service design method to summarize the real needs of passengers,and completes the "people-oriented" design plan;Secondly,break the traditional plan of entering the first floor of the airport terminal building out of the second floor,and further improve the space utilization rate of small airports;thirdly,through the study of passenger flow lines,the guidance sign system is used to guide passenger activities while ensuring Operational efficiency of small airport terminals.
