2018 was a key year for the auto industry,with the first decline in 28 years.In order to seek development in the declining market and adapt to such a fierce automobile market,enterprises need to constantly seek new competitive advantages.Before 2018,automobile industry,developing rapidly,each big enterprise in the internal of lean production,standard work,quality improvement,cost reduction,expand sales has entered a mature stage.Dig in the field of internal production enterprise profit space is limited,supply chain management as a strategic management gradually become the hottest new competitive advantage.As the upstream part of the supply chain,suppliers play an important role.Excellent suppliers help enterprises to reduce costs,provide high-quality products,optimize enterprise processes,improve efficiency,reduce operational risks and improve customer satisfaction.Therefore,improving the ability to develop and manage suppliers is an important means for modern enterprises to effectively improve their competitive advantages.In this paper,three real and typical cases occurred in the development and management process of Chinese suppliers were firstly analyzed: "huge compensation for whose fault","gear shutdown incident" and "SQD manager Sean was in trouble" to reflect the current situation of problems.Secondly,through reading a large number of literatures and studying MBA professional courses,found the underlying fundamental problems through the phenomenon.For example,in the early stage,lack of comprehensive evaluation and selection criteria of suppliers are unreasonable.In the middle stage,customers’ requirements were not clearly identified and not transmitted to suppliers.Problems occurred in the supplier’s capacity verification and supplier audit were not in place.In the later stage,there is a lack of reasonable quality performance requirements for suppliers.Finally,by referring to the knowledge and experience of predecessors and research conclusions,learning the processes of other excellent companies,and putting forward improvement suggestions for the problems existing in the development of suppliers of H company.so as to optimize the development management process system of suppliers of H company.It includes using Dickson’s 23 supplier evaluation criteria and performance management BSC to improve H company’s process.
