American Urban Park Based On Parkscore And Its Enlightenment To Xi’an Urban Park Construction

China is in the process of rapid urbanization.With the rising urbanization rate and increasing population load,urban ecological environment is also facing a severe test.As an important infrastructure,urban park has the important functions of ecological protection,environmental optimization,recreation,disaster prevention and refuge,which plays a crucial role in improving the living standard and happiness of residents.However,there is still a lack of theoretical guidance and practical experience in building a perfect urban park system and its evaluation system in China.We still need to learn from the theoretical knowledge of advanced countries and constantly explore the localization path.This study uses the field survey method to investigate the level of various types of service facilities in Xi’an city parks,and uses the quantitative analysis method to analyze the different characteristics of Xi’an and American city parks,and finally makes a comparative study of the two.Firstly,this paper introduces and analyzes the specific content,characteristics and limitations of the current urban park system evaluation system parkscore in the United States.Secondly,using the index data of parkscore over the years,this paper analyzes the development status and trend of urban parks in the top 40 and top 100 population size of the United States,and illustrates the typical cities and park service facilities with examples.Thirdly,according to the field research and authoritative analysis The results of data collection analyzed the layout characteristics and service facilities level of Xi’an urban park,and used the modified parkscore index system to evaluate the Xi’an urban park system.Finally,based on the evaluation results and the comparison with the American urban park system,it revealed the characteristic differences between Xi’an and the American urban park system,provided the basis for Xi’an green space system planning,and provided reference for the development of Xi’an urban park system Suggestions are put forward on the construction of evaluation index system of urban parks in ChinaThe results show that the overall distribution of urban green space in Xi’an is relatively scattered,and the connectivity between green patches is insufficient.The median area of urban park in Xi’an is 8 hectares,which is larger than that of the largest city in the United States.The percentage of park green space in the total urban land area(excluding the area of railway station and high-speed railway station)is 9%,which is among the top 100 cities in the United States The per capita investment in landscaping is 420.19 yuan,accounting for72% of the median per capita investment in parks in American cities,57% of the average per capita investment in parks in Minneapolis,accounting for 20% of the per capita investment in parks in Minneapolis;the basketball box index per 10000 people in parks in Xi’an is 0.12,which is far lower than the minimum value in American cities: 0.97 per 10000 people in Wichita,Kansas;the playground index per 10000 people is 0.15,which is far away It is lower than 0.99 per 10000 people in Newark,New Jersey and 0.09 per 10000 people in bathroom index,which is slightly lower than 0.12 per 10000 people in Las Vegas,Nevada.The national fitness path index of parks in Xi’an City reached 1.87 per 20000 people,which was higher than the average of 0.89 and the median of 0.89 per 20000 residents’ recreation and elderly center index in American cities,and lower than 2.3 in Minneapolis.Based on the research results,this study proposes six optimization paths for the planning,construction and maintenance management of parks in Xi’an:(1)Combined with the evaluation results and the specific construction situation of the city,this paper puts forward some guiding opinions for the planning work;(2)Set up special funds for park construction and increase park investment;(3)Establish high level independent park management organization;(4)Set up special funds for park construction and increase investment in parks.;(5)Increase the construction of small parks(6)Overall planning of park construction,using natural greenways,rivers and other corridors to form a unified park system.At the same time,it puts forward two suggestions for the construction of urban park system evaluation system in China:(1)Build basic database,strengthen the statistics of basic data;(2)Build user demand-oriented urban park system evaluation index system.
