The traditional village water conservancy heritage is the epitome of the wisdom of ancient Chinese farming civilization.At present,most of the researches on water conservancy focus on the large-scale water conservancy heritage project,and less on the village water management strategy.The research on traditional village water management is scattered in the fields of architecture such as Human Settlements,Landscape and Tourism Development.The analysis conclusion lack spatial quantitative analysis and systematic induction focusing on the village water management strategy.At the same time,it lacks scientific understanding and in-depth interpretation of Lishui from the interdisciplinary perspectives of water science,geography and ecology.Based on this situation,this paper investigates and studies more than 60 well-preserved Linshui villages across the country,combining the theories of architecture,planning,geoinformatics,and water conservancy to quantify and analyze the wisdom of the village from the construction of the village to the construction of water conservancy facilities according to the 3D point clouds and GIS;Seeking common ground while reserving differences,summarizing the basic models of traditional village water management,verifying the systematic and scientific nature of traditional village water conservancy heritage,and proving the research and protection value of contemporary traditional village water conservancy heritage.The study first proposes the term “Multi-Water Utilization” strategy,which aims to emphasize the accurate feedback of ancient village sites on different climates and integrated water demand.It generally includes basin-type runoff through microtopography,surface runoff formed in micro-topography,groundwater and other subdivided water sources.This strategy has certain universality and regionality due to the different objective conditions.Guided by this principle,the Lishui technique in historical books is compiled,and a complete water framework from planning to construction of water conservancy facilities is obtained.At the same time,select typical cases with regional climate and agricultural characteristics to conduct in-depth research on traditional village water management from macro to micro.At the macro level,taking the village examples as the analysis object,,analyze the relationship between “multi-water source pattern and stable village site formation” in arid,semi-arid,semi-humid and humid areas from the aspects of landscape relationship,hydraulic function,river trend,etc.It proves that the multi-source pattern is an important prerequisite for a good base of the village.At the medium and micro level,the analysis and summary of the Lishui strategies in the farming society such as flood control,drainage,irrigation are research objectives.village farmland,forest area,public space design,reservoirs,pools and other functional spaces and wells,Water conservancy facilities such as gates are the research objects.Then the study quantifies and analyzes various indicators such as flood submergence,reservoir drainage trend,and farmland irrigation layout;proves the scientific and precise nature of village water conservancy projects;and further establishes the important value of traditional village water management in various subject areas.Finally,the multi-level Lishui system formed in the above different climatic environments is summarized and combined with the water management research of the predecessors,the basic Lishui model map suitable for geographical division is proposed.Based on the results of this research,we can see the construction of water conservancy projects in villages in today’s society,and prove the ecological,scientific,systematic and precise strategies of the “multi-water source” strategy of ancient agent water,so that the renewal of traditional village water conservancy projects and the protection of water conservancy heritage can be Enlightened,self-checked and trapped,and headed for a sustainable future.
