In the design process of electronic system,EMC simulation of electronic system is needed,and EMC simulation model of each device is needed.The component model libraries of various general simulation software do not contain all the models of the devices,or only provide functional models which do not meet the requirements of EMC simulation.This paper takes the three-terminal voltage regulator as the object to carry out the research on the EMC model establishment method.The main work contents are as follows:(1)The three-terminal voltage regulator working principle analysis and physical model establishment.Through the analysis of the working principle of the three-terminal voltage regulator,combined with the schematic diagram of the voltage regulator provided by the manufacturer,the transistor level model of the three-terminal voltage regulator,namely its physical model,is built by using the discrete component library of the universal electromagnetic simulation software CST.The difficulty of this modeling method and its advantages and disadvantages are analyzed.Based on this,a new modeling method is proposed and its semi-physical model is established.(2)The establishment of the three-terminal regulator function model.The basic function Model of the regulator is obtained through parameter fitting using Model Editor tool built into PSpice simulation software of Cadence.This kind of model is a semi-physical model between the physical model and the behavior model and requires a lot of external characteristic parameters.Combined with the data manual and physical test,the parameters required for fitting were obtained,and the functional model was finally obtained.(3)Establishment of EMC model.For the functional model,some important EMC parameters do not meet the accuracy requirements of EMC simulation.Based on the in-depth understanding of SPICE syntax,new functional modules,such as voltage controlled voltage source,voltage controlled current source,etc.are built to achieve the purpose of adjusting parameters.Finally,each functional module is combined to form the final EMC model of three-terminal voltage regulator according to SPICE grammar rules.(4)Simulation verification of voltage regulator model.For the established EMC model,the simulation comparison was carried out according to the test conditions given in the data manual to ensure that the model parameters were not significantly different from the actual device parameters,so as to verify the accuracy of the model.
