This research project has the objective of achieving the modeling of a voltage regulator of a hydroelectric synchronous generator, which is used to ensure the stability of the electrical system including the synchronous generator.The works of project can be distributed in three stages: construction of a voltage regulator of synchronous generator model in the environment of Matlab / Simulink, implementation of the C code generated in the B & R PLC, model validation with tests experimental. In addition to the main work indicated above, a Simulink model of a converter bridge and a Matlab interface for computing parameters PSS(Power System Stabiliser) from the parameters of the generator are set to complete the excitation system the hydraulic unit.The report of the Master research project will first introduce the major elements and the principle of operation of a hydraulic power unit will be presented. The next part is devoted to showing the work on this project and explain the principle of each block of the voltage regulator. Finally, a discussion of the performance of the regulator implemented and validated, and the results of experimental tests will be presented.
