Research On The Design Of The Etiquette And Custom Public Cultural Space Activation Design Of Suzhou Traditional Villages

The public cultural space of etiquette and custom carries the customs and activities formed in the long-term human-land development relationship of the village,and embodies the regional characteristics and humanistic spirit.It is a symbolic space of the village and is irreplaceable.However,the space has been squeezed under the urbanization process,some spaces were destroyed and empty,some spaces were "captive" protected,some spaces were functional alienation.Nowadays,with the proposal of the rural revitalization,the public cultural space of etiquette and custom in the village ritual has ushered in a favorable opportunity,and this field has gradually attracted scholars’ attention.The current research on traditional village ritual public cultural space of etiquette and custom focuses on the field of village protection strategy and development planning;on the other hand,it focuses on the protection of rural traditional public space and some strategy about the establishment of commercial public cultural space and new living public cultural spaces in the village.There are also some documents focus on the study of the relationship between ritual and space.All areas have pointed out the importance of ritual public cultural space for the revitalization of the countryside.At the same time,the research direction has gradually developed from the protection to the renewal of space,but there are few methods of space activation at spiritual and cultural level.In order to improve the related research in this field,this article will take the public cultural space of etiquette and custom in the area of Suzhou traditional village as the research object to discuss its activation strategy.Based on literature review and field research,this paper sorts out the spatial form and function characteristics of the public cultural space of ritual and custom in Suzhou traditional villages in the three periods,compares and analyzes the changes of the space in the three periods,starting from natural,humanistic and social factors,Summed up the four problems of the public cultural space of ritual and custom in Suzhou traditional villages: the isolation of space,the loss of space traditional functions and simplex space function,monotony of space exhibition methods,cultural fault in space.Therefore,based on the status quo of problem,propose activation strategies.The activation of the etiquette and customary public cultural space should respect regional characteristics and humanistic spirit,and connects people and space with appropriate spatial expressions,let them grow together,thereby continuing the cultural heritage and realizing the revival of space.Then propose targeted activation methods:(1)The space can continue its traditional functions,provide a place for customs and etiquette activities,and respect the needs of local people to carry out partial functional replacement.(2)For protected buildings with limited surrounding space,in order not to destroy the original style of the space,reversible modules can be used to construct inside,so that the space can be changed in different time with different needs,or be disassembled and replaced in the future.(3)For the space with strong plasticity,the surrounding open space can be used to collage the combination of historical memory and new business forms into the auxiliary space to realize activation.(4)The most important thing for space activation is to create a relationship between space and people.Therefore,you can use interesting interactive devices or use the expression of space to create interactive.In the last part,the project base is the ritual public cultural space in the ancient village of Dong,and the activation method mentioned in the previous period is used for activation design practice.This part described the design plan and design analysis,analysis the activation method of the space,in order to solute the status quo of the problem.This paper explores the activation design of the ritual and custom public cultural space in traditional villages in Suzhou.On the one hand,it has perfected the related theoretical research on the activation of the ritual and custom public cultural space from the expression level of the humanistic spirit in the space and made it more pertinent;on the other hand,it discovered the method of space activation,analyzing the potential development mode of space in the future,it is expected to be helpful for the activation design of traditional village ritual and custom public cultural space under the background of rural revitalization.
