Research On Cantonese Visual Design And Application

Dialect is the comprehensive embodiment of regional culture.Cantonese,also known as Yue dialect,is an important carrier of Lingnan culture.On the one hand,with the promotion of the popularization policy,the users of Cantonese dialect are gradually decreasing,and the phenomenon of the loss of localization is becoming more and more obvious.On the other hand,due to the complexity of the language characteristics of the Cantonese dialect,it is difficult for people to grasp,and has certain limitations in the process of transmission.Through the means of visual design,the author hopes to transform the language symbol of dialect into visual symbols,so as to break the language barrier of dialect transmission and make a contribution to the cultural inheritance and development of Cantonese dialect.This paper is about the design and application of Cantonese visualization.First of all,through in-depth understanding of the historical evolution and language characteristics of Cantonese dialect,excavate its cultural connotation and design value.And then,through the analysis of the semiology theory,based on the transformation of the language symbols and visual symbols,according to the symbol of divergent thinking and semiotics can refers to the two sides,and symbols summed up the dialect of semantic analysis method,and then through the semantic processing in the visual image and it referring to the related method of communication between objects,derived class as symbolic semantic visual transformation,mark symbol semantic transformation,semantic visual symbol into three dialect semantic visual transformation methods,construction of complete dialect visualization design method.Then,taking the specific design works as an example,this paper summarizes the expressive characteristics and design principles of characters and graphics in the visual design of dialects,and analyzes and summarizes the common application forms of visual design of dialects.Finally,the above research results are verified through the practice of visual design of Cantonese,and the design is applied in cultural and creative products to promote the inheritance and development of Cantonese dialect.
