Homestay Case Study Based On The Reconstruction Of Reserved Buildings In Xi’an Kangdizhai

Xi’an Kangdizhai is the 18 courtyards of the original Kangdizhai village demolition and retention,which is located in the northwest corner of Xi’an Daming Palace National Archaeological Site Park.Within the scope of the protection of the Tang Daming Palace Site,some buildings are superimposed on the Tang Shi Cui Palace Site,and are densely distributed ordinary rural buildings.It has been abandoned for about ten years.It is the only natural village left in the Daming Palace Site area.Research on the reconstruction of Kangdizhai reserved buildings is meaningful.Although retaining the building is a general old building,the building is extremely ordinary,no artistic value and simple,but it truly reflects the architectural situation,bearing the memory of people who once lived here.Although the historical value of reserved buildings is not high,it presents the great changes of Daming Palace ruins.It is necessary to consider providing special historical and cultural experience for tourists to reconstruct and reuse Kangdizhai.From the perspective of cultural heritage,through the investigation and analysis of a large number of basic residential cases,this paper studies the transformation and reuse strategies of reserved buildings,and selects typical cases that are of reference significance to Kangdizhai project for in-depth study.The purpose of this study is to protect and reuse Kangdizhai to retain the existing multiple values of the building,and to reuse the space function of the building as a homestay,so that the reconstructed building continues the history and culture and applies to contemporary.Homestay is a transformation direction proposed for reserved buildings after feasibility study.From the perspective of cultural heritage,this paper studies the transformation and reuse strategy of reserved buildings through case analysis of homestay,and provides reference for old buildings in similar situations.The purpose of this study is to protect and reuse the existing multiple values,and to retain the space function of the building for homestay,so that the reconstructed building continues its history and applies to contemporary.This paper consists of the following five parts.1.It sorts out and analyzes the special background of the Daming Palace National Heritage Park where Kangdi Village keeps buildings.2.Investigate and record the retained buildings,including their historical changes,original use and construction methods,construction status and surrounding environment,and clarify the multiple values of the retained buildings.3.Make clear the screening principle of accommodation cases and the analytical method of typical accommodation investigation cases,and analyze and summarize the basic cases.4.In-depth interpretation and analysis of typical cases from six aspects :architectural overview,pre-transformation analysis,value element analysis,transformation principle,transformation plan and evaluation.5.Take project practice as an example to put forward relevant suggestions similar to old building renovation.It is hoped that this study can provide reference for the preservation of urban memory and the protection and reuse of cultural heritage.
