| With the acceleration of small-scale urbanization in China, traditional villages, which are China’s non-renewable historical and cultural heritage, are facing severe challenges. The rapid disappearance of traditional villages is also accompanied by prominent problems such as hollowing out, modernization, homogenization, and blind over-exploitation.The mountainous area in the southern Shanxi is extensive, and kilndwelling villages are mostly distributed there.Their remote location, isolated traffic and relatively low level of economic development have allowed a large number of traditional kiln vgb villages to remain intact. As a native of southern Shanxi,I have witnessed the erosion, bulldozing, abandonment and commercialization of traditional kiln villages in the mountainous areas of southern Shanxi by urbanization and modern civilization. As one of the birthplaces of Chinese civilization, the southern part of Shanxi has thousands of years of history and culture. The representative mountain kiln villages are the social units of traditional agricultural life and production in southern Shanxi, and are also the living fossils representing the history and traditional farming culture of southern Jinan. It reflects the superb level of the ancestors in building villages and village landscapes, and truly reflects the rural development and life in the farming era.It is not only rich in historical information, but also has unique regional characteristics and important research value. Therefore, the preservation of traditional mountain kiln villages in southwest Shanxi is of great significance for exploring the development of traditional Chinese farming civilization and realizing the strategy of rural revitalization. This paper takes traditional mountain kiln dwelling villages in southern Southern Shanxi as the research subject.Through literature collection, field survey and interviews,it analyzes "geographic environment of Southern Shanxi","mountain kiln dwelling villages in Southern Shanxi" and "landscape characteristics of mountain kiln dwelling villages in Southern Shanxi".This study also summarizes the common features of the landscape of traditional mountain kiln villages and the common problems they face in terms of the location, plan and spatial pattern of the villages, road patterns and spatial characteristics of the streets, the architectural texture of the villages, and the layout of the courtyards. On this basis,it takes the typical Dingshi village in Xiangning County,Southern Shanxi,as the subject of analysis, and analyze its site environment, landscape form, residential architectural features and courtyard spatial layout in depth. Then,it explores the external and internal elements that constitute the landscape characteristics, summarizes the conservation contents of the landscape of Dingshi Village from macroscopic to microscopic, and discusses the conservation and enhancement methods of the natural ecological environment, village landscape form and pattern, public space, alleyway space and traditional houses of Dingshi Village.Under the premise of conservation,it also integrates the landscape resources of the village, and proposes the development orientation and mode applicable to the village itself under the development mode of traditional villages at the present, and put forward the suggested conservation planning methods and strategies for Dingshi Village.Through the research of this paper,it aims to explore the methods and strategies that are suitable for the landscape, cultural continuity and sustainable development of traditional mountain kiln villages in Southern Shanxi from the perspective of landscape gardening discipline. It is hoped that the research results of the case of Dingshi Village can draw attention to the traditional mountain kiln villages in Southern Shanxi, and provide reference for the conservation heritage and future sustainable development of the local traditional mountain kiln villages, and propose new suggested ideas for the conservation continuity and future planning of Dingshi Village. The results of the study will contribute to the continuation of landscape conservation and the future planning of the village. |
